Legendary Creature Elemental Avatar

6/6

During each of your turns, you may play up to one permanent card of each permanent type from your graveyard. (If a card has multiple permanent types, choose one as you play it.)

Card Justifications

Creatures:

Bane of Progress Powerful artifact and enchantment destruction that can hurt me less than opponents w/commander

Burnished Hart Repeatable ramp from graveyard w/commander

Dreamscape Artist Repeatable ramp and graveyard fueling

Eternal Witness Able to grab back the things commander cannot

Fauna Shaman Graveyard fuel and creature tutoring

Fleshbag Marauder, Merciless Executioner Repeatable edict effects w/commander in play from the graveyard.

Glen Elendra Archmage A repeatable and powerful source of countermagic w/commander

Hermit Druid, Jace's Archivist, Sidisi, Brood Tyrant graveyard fueling

Kokusho, the Evening Star extremely powerful with recursion and commander

Mulldrifter, Shriekmaw w/commander in play, able to pay evoke cost from graveyard for value

Oracle of Mul Daya just good honest ramp

Phantasmal Image cheap and efficient clone whose downside is mitigated by commander

River Kelpie generates a lot of card draw w/commander

Sakura-Tribe Elder repeatable ramp from graveyard w/commander

Sidisi, Undead Vizier repeatable tutor from graveyard w/commander

Sire of Stagnation bit of a pet card, powerful card draw and big threat

Solemn Simulacrum if able to recur with commander, generates a large amount of value

Spellskite, Sylvan Safekeeper free protection for commander

Spore Frog repeatable fog w/commander

The Gitrog Monster generates value, card draw, land ramp

World Shaper with a significant amount of self-mill, can explosively ramp on death

Artifacts:

Claws of Gix Safety Valve, able to instant-speed sacrifice my own problematic permanents if Im put in a bad position, like Mana Vortex, Desolation, Posessed portal. Also allows re-use of creature ETB effects, and turns on Kokusho, the Evening Star loops

Dimir Signet, Golgari Signet, Simic Signet, Sol Ring Mana Rocks

Lightning Greaves protection for commander, who is important to strategy

Mesmeric Orb Powerful self-mill for low investment

Mindslaver when able to be replayed with commander, can lock an opponent out, control the game

Possessed Portal stax element, my deck easily overcomes the downsides with this card while my commander is in play since I can replay permanents from the graveyard, making it a pseudo-hand. Can lock opponents out of the game

Smokestack, Tangle Wire stax element, can harm my opponents much more than myself, being replayable from the graveyard is very powerful

Wayfarer's Bauble repeatable ramp w/commander

Enchantments:

Animate Dead, Necromancy Permanent-based Reanimation to abuse our commanders ability, rather than sorceries that do the same

As Foretold Assists in casting multiple spells a turn from both hand and graveyard, our commander is heavy mana dependent

Contamination, Infernal Darkness - resource denial for our opponents that can be mitigated for ourselves with our commander on the field. Example: as the last spell of our turn, we cast Infernal Darkness. During each opponents turn, their lands only tap for black mana. During our upkeep we choose not to pay the Cumulative Upkeep cost, and sacrifice the enchantment. During our turn we can use our lands, and then re-cast the enchantment from the graveyard, keeping our opponents off colors.

Defense of the Heart powerful when able to cast from graveyard w/commander. Getting this effect multiple times in a game is game-winning.

Desolation, Mana Vortex stax attrition elements. Sacrificing a land a turn isnt as much as a detriment for me if Im able to play them from my graveyard.

Dream Halls extraordinarily powerful with our commander. We can discard cards from our hand in order to cast cards from our graveyard for free. This then allows the cards discarded from hand to be in the graveyard for casting as well. Graveyard fuel/cost reduction all in one.

Infernal Tribute serves a similar purpose to Claws of Gix in being able to sacrifice and recur my parmanents, and also allows for card draw.

Mystic Remora Another cumulative upkeep effect that we can abuse. Play Mystic Remora and let it go around the table drawing cards. On upkeep, dont pay the cumulative upkeep if its more than one mana, and then re-cast it from your graveyard with commander.

Pernicious Deed powerful, customizable, recurring boardwipe. When case for X < 6, we can keep our commander and bring it back immediately to threaten to activate again.

Seal of Primordium cheap artifact/enchantment removal that can be cast from graveyard w/commander

Search for Azcanta   card selection and graveyard filling on front, powerful selection and advantage after it flips

Sylvan Library just a very powerful card that creates advantage and selection

Instants:

Arcane Denial, Negate Counterspells with low color requirements

Entomb Graveyard Tutor, good w/commander

Harrow Mana Ramp that sends a land to the graveyard, which can be replayed later w/commander

Sorceries:

Buried Alive Graveyard Tutor, good w/commander

Cultivate, Farseek Mana Ramp (staying low on instant/sorcery mana ramp because of commanders preference for permanents)

Splendid Reclamation Powerful effect with all the self-mill and land sacrificing in the deck

Toxic Deluge Customizable board wipe that gets around indestructability

Lands:

Barren Moor, Fetid Pools, Lonely Sandbar, Tranquil Thicket Cycling lands, can be played from graveyard with commander

Cephalid Coliseum Graveyard fuel that can be played again and again w/commander

Command Beacon very good with commander. You can use the lands ability to get commander to hand to get around command tax, then cast commander, then replay command beacon from the graveyard to discount it again next time it dies

Evolving Wilds, Terramorphic Expanse, Polluted Delta Fetch lands are good because they can be played from graveyard with commander, meaning you can hit your land drop every turn.
