this deck plays slow and controlly, becoming oppressive late game and forcing difficult, often lose-lose scenarios on your opponents. politics are huge in this deck, telling one player you wont use a cards affect on them if they don't pay the 3 life often works as long as you keep your promises. controlling the grave is also important. I've tried pretty hard to flavor this deck around athreos and I feel I've done a decent job.

combos:

Martyr's Cause and Ayli are top notch sac outlet and can save your life. There are so many small creatures to abuse with Athreos Kami of False Hope prema fog with good politics, Leonin Relic-Warder + Merciless Executioner and my favorite Shriekmaw are great removal with athreos, just promise the player you're asking to pay life you wont use it on them! Burnished Hart will usually get paid for but sometimes you can get someone to help you out. Gray Merchant of Asphodel is a great wincon. Yosei, the Morning Star lets you ruin someones day with a little friendly team up.

Serra Avatar + Xathrid Demon can be devastating, especially with cards like Proper Burial .Phage the Untouchable is hilarious with Endless Whispers.

Champion of Stray Souls and Magister of Worth keep the action going. Black Market turns all the death into insane mana.
