5 Colour Faker - Maze's End

Commander / EDH

Servbot

This deck is for those who need a challenge. Playing good decks gets tedious. Especially if you keep winning. Yes there are still good cards in the deck. But it comes down to your negotiation skills in the end.

This deck works well as a group hug, you must keep everyone happy. You would not want them to turn on you. So you disguise your own benefits within the group effects.

Commander is Child of Alara, mainly played for the colour Identity, but if things do not turn out the way you want it is always easily accessible board control.

Colour fixing is available in the deck, but with the amount of card draw and lad search effects, this should not be a concern.

The planewalkers Are double edge sword, play them at the correct time and use their abilities wisely. Jace Beleren is a group hug champion, everybody loves drawing cards. Just do not use his ultimate when it first comes online. Hold off using it till its 1v1 situation. Ajani Vengeant is a great negotiation tool, his +1 can stasis a scary permanent. Discuss this ability with the table and come to a vote of what should be effected. one player might not be too happy but the others will be. His ultimate Is a game winner. Once again leave this till 1v1 situation. Surprisingly enough he tends to stay on the table for some time as after a while his +1 is no longer seen threatening. The other planes walkers are more for your own benefit, Nicol Bolas, Planeswaler can be used like Ajani but he usually gets removed as quickly as he is played.

To protect these walkers and yourself there are a few enchantments that place a tax on attacking. Propaganda, Ghostly Prison for example. An over looked tax card is War Cadence, Convince your enemies to attack one another, it is a great way to draw out removal cards from peoples hands. Pay to block or use that spell. It is a tough call.

Make yourself less incriminating with your creature base, mainly consisting of Walls/ defenders. There are a few, plus some effects are somewhat helpful. Axebane Guardian,Overgrown Battlement get you nice mana boost, Vent Setinel, Doorkeeper can be win cons.

Deck management and manipulation is key to preforming well. Sensei's Divining Top, Sultai Ascendancy allow the deck to be manipulated. Have a Crucible of Worlds in play and Sultai Ascendancy becomes a very powerful tool.

Many other synergies are available. The top two cards Kiora's Follower and Voyaging Satyr. Maze's End comes in tapped, this allows for it to be used the turn it enters.

Great moment with the deck- Merkfiend Liege, Selvala, Explorer Returned, Kiora's Follower and Kruphix, God of Horizons. The the table was happy with the free cards bust most of all I was benefiting the most. Gaining a little extra colourless mana and life for my coming turn.
