This deck was originally just made from the remnants of an old Doran deck and an old Iroas deck, neither performed quite as I hoped they would on their own but it turns out that they work much better together. Both decks had a very slight life gain theme and a heavy aggro theme, and both these themes are enhanced greatly by Bruse and Ikra. It's incredible how much life you gain while beating your opponent's face in.

Over time I've added more fitting cards to make use of the life gain theme such as Hatred and Aetherflux Reservoir as well as general goodstuff like Avacyn, Angel of Hope, Vigor, Tooth and Nail, etc. The manabase has slowly improved over time, but it could still use a great deal more improvement.
