The deck protects itself with removal and board wipes until it can get 2-3 planeswalkers doing their thing at once. The commander, Derevi, is frequently just a cheap blocker that you can flash in, but her untap ability has some nice synergy with cards like Gilder Bairn, can give you pseudo-vigilance, or leave that one white mana open for a surprise swords or path. Well, my friends are no longer surprised, but that adds a whole other meta because I can bluff having removal.

I had a whole section here about combos and Doubling Season and, well, I took out Doubling Season because it was un-fun in my playgroup. It usually just meant I was going to win. Even without it, casually, I can still drop multiple emblems. This deck is fun and I love it.
