Step 1: Cast Worldfire.

Step 2: With Worldfire on the stack, activate ability of either: Blisterspit Gremlin, Brimstone Trebuchet, Lightning-Rig Crew, Lobber Crew, Nettle Drone or Thermo-Alchemist.

Step 3: With ability and Worldfire on the stack, cast either: Dualcaster Mage, Fork, Fury Storm, Increasing Vengeance, Reiterate, Reverberate or Wild Ricochet targeting Worldfire.

Off-color options: Basilica Guards, Basilica Screecher, Blind Obedience, Crypt Ghast, Kingpin's Pet, Syndic of Tithes, Thrull Parasite, Tithe Drinker, Witherbloom Apprentice, Refuse / Cooperate, Insidious Will, Narset's Reversal, Twincast, Naru Meha, Master Wizard.

(This is by no means an exhaustive list, it just happens to be the best mana-cost effective cards I could find.)

Hey there, glad to see some more people on the Arcades train! I've got my own deck that works really well, and there are a couple cards that I definitely recommend including:

  • Basilica Guards is fantastic once you have the value train going, and extra mana can be put into some extort triggers. Same thing with Blind Obedience, plus it allows for you to be more aggressive and not worry that much about blockers/Hastey crackbacks.
  • Crashing Drawbridge is a new card that's fantastic for surprise swings after dumping your hand out.
  • I actually recommend removing Sight of the Scalelords because there are, in my opinion, stronger things to be doing at that point, plus it allows for power-based removal. True Conviction is my preferred mass anthem.
  • Guardian Project is just another card draw engine that I recommend in any green, creature-based deck.
  • Dusk / Dawn is another great power-biased board wipe, and its second effect is fantastic for recovering after a board wipe.
  • Panharmonicon, if you can afford it, is fantastic to double Arcades triggers.
Also, you have a second Perimeter Captain in the decklist, so you can probably afford to add another card in. I'd be happy to give you some more detailed recommendations if you need them!

Venser's Journal, Tablet of the Guilds, Basilica Guards, Basilica Screecher, and Syndic of Tithes are all worthy inclusions. Some cards to consider cutting would be Razaketh's Rite, Deep Analysis (it's not really helping you with your gameplan- not what you want for four mana), Merciless Eviction (it's basically Wrath of God in our meta), Overrule, and Zur the Enchanter (most of your enchantments aren't really worth including Zur as JUST a tutor).

Ah, what is there to dislike about life gain? The deck looks sweet, however, I do have some suggestions.

Whilst Exstort is a lovely mechanic, I feel as if many of these creatures are lacking. Basilica Guards, Kingpin's Pet, Knight of Obligation, Thrull Parasite, and Syndicate Enforcer all just have egregious stats. Similarly, Resplendent Mentor is a five Mana 2/2 that doesn't do something immediately unless you have a board state.

Armillary Sphere doesn't do much. You probably prefer to cast your commander than paying four and finding two basics.

Endless Scream is far too much Mana for what it does in my opinion. Same with Howl from Beyond.

Linden, the Steadfast Queen just seems awesome in here, as does Shadowspear and Loxodon Warhammer. Ivory Tower and Revenge of Ravens could be interesting.

You have quite a bit of creature based removal, thus you may wish for dealing with other permanents. Despark, Generous Gift, and Disenchant are all great.

That's all from me. Good luck!

You can also add some Basilica Guards to extort and gain and drain life at the same time

ArachnidGoat - in the future, please remember to hit the "Mark as Answer" button on a responsive post to indicate you no longer have any follow-up questions, as well as to allow other players with the same question to quickly identify the correct answer.

I have gone ahead and marked pskinn01's answer as accepted this time, but would appreciate if you could take care of this in the future.

Also, while not relevant to this particular question, I want to add one piece of information to pskinn01's post, because there is one niche situation with regards to colour identity that trips up new players, particularly if they are looking at the plain text of Rule 903.4 without a greater understanding of the rules.

Reminder text is not "rules text", so mana symbols in reminder text do not count toward colour identity. Right now, this only applies to extort--Basilica Guards has a mono-White colour identity, as the symbol appears in Extort's reminder text, not its rules text.

Again, not particularly relevant to your question, but I have seen this point of confusion enough that I always like to highlight it for players who are trying to get a grasp of what colour identity means.
