We are the Tunnel Snakes. And we rule.

SSSSSSSSSSSimic Snakes! While this may seem like an odd and limited Tribal at first glance, enough noteworthy Snake cards have been printed to support an EDH deck based around the creature type.

Foundation: Show

This deck contains a diverse toolbox of options to lead to victory. Mainly focused on evasive beats, efficient creatures like Lorescale Coatl play a major part in the early game. Simic typically plays on combat tricks rather heavily; this is utilized in cards like Ambush Viper , Wasteland Viper, and Winged Coatl. Most Snake creatures are relatively weak; the biggest Snake in the deck (not including Changelings and "X" mana costs) is just a 3/4. So I included a few Snake lords printed in the Kamigawa Block, like Sachi, Daughter of Seshiro as well as some other anthems like Obelisk of Urd to add some much-needed hardiness. I also found several utility Snake creatures, such as Coiling Oracle and Lotus Cobra, that are often considered staples in other G/U EDH decks.

Powerhouse cards: Show

- Sosuke's Summons : While not a huge deal in other non-Tribal decks, this is a monster spell in Snake Tribal, giving us a repeatable source of defense, or offense if our opponent's board is clear.

-Edric, Spymaster of Trest: Not a Snake. But an efficient source of card draw, such that with only a few creatures on our board we can keep our hand filled after every turn. Bident of Thassa/Coastal Piracy on a cheap stick.

-Prophet of Kruphix: Also not a Snake. But a huge threat when it hits the board; giving us free reign in combat to swing our Snakes, and afterwards keeping our creatures open to block and our mana open to cast responses. Similar to Patron of the Orochi.

-Momir Vig, Simic Visionary: Again, not Snake-worthy. But his tutoring ability opens up the entire creature package of our deck to us. If we need a body, he can get us there.

- Shisato, Whispering Hunter : At the cost of some of our Snakes, he can lock down the opponent's board for several turns. Can get in easily with our general out, and pairs wonderfully with Sosuke's Summons .

Win condition: Show

1. Commander damage.
This is likely the simplest method, ramping enough to activate Kaseto, Orochi Archmage 's ability multiple times on himself, and swing for lethal in a few turns.

2. General beatdown.
Going wide is also possible, with Kaseto making several creatures unblockable at a time. Some creatures like Chameleon Colossus do this better than others, but this is ultimately a slower gameplan than the previous.

3. Infect.
Finally, winning through poison counters is also a viable option. Blight Mamba is a Snake that can do this inherently. Grafted Exoskeleton can be equipped to a non-Infect creature we have, or Corrupted Conscience can take one of theirs for our own. All of these options are supported through Kaseto's evasion.
