They're huge, they're flying, and they synergize, these winged fire-breathing beasts are incredibly powerful monsters and they go out of control! Keep in mind that the Ur-Dragon makes all your other dragons cost less even while he is in the command zone.

Things this deck can do with combos of cards:

  • Deal insane amounts of damage just for getting dragons on the field, via ETB effects

  • Swarm the field with dragon tokens, doubling or more the amount just from swinging once

  • Cheat very expensive dragons onto the field with little effort

  • Wipe the board multiple times but leave all your dragons alive

  • Ramp up mana quicker than you'd expect

  • Make your dragons cost up to less to cast, and even cast the 9-cost commander by turn 4 or 5

  • 1-shot an opponent with commander damage

Below are explanations for each card's purpose in the deck.

The Creatures

  • Scion of the Ur-Dragon: Has some really nasty combo plays, changes according to your needs. Potential secondary commander but tends to be a lot more boring

  • Sunscorch Regent: Gets huge quickly and gives you some life on the side

Planeswalkers

Sorceries

  • Crux of Fate: Wipes on-dragons, huge help for your board

  • Earthquake: Can be risky as it hits you too but leaves your dragons alone

Enchantments

  • Palace Siege: Mostly for graveyard recursion, can do some lifegain if you're desperate

  • Stasis Field: Nice removal to drop on a commander
