User's Guide to Black Magic

Finalizing on how to pilot this deck. Gonna make this the Primer guide to spellslinging with Vivi. Any additions to your personal playstyle is welcome for your own brews. I just have my own playstyle and ways I brew my decks.

Let us cast explosion upon our enemies and watch them all suffer in a raging fireball.

Two Card Combo

Key combo in this deck include:

Vivi Ornitier and Quicksilver Elemental on the battlefield. Have a floating Blue available.

Activate Quicksilver Elemental, causing it to gain Vivi's activated abilities until end of turn. Activate Quicksilver Elemental using Vivi's ability by paying 0, adding URUR. Repeat.

Spend infinite mana on outlets such as: Rolling Earthquake for the LOLZ, Finale of Revelation, Whispers of the Muse to deck yourself, also you can do it again with Reiterate

Hullbreaker Combo

Hullbreaker Horror and Sol Ring on the battlefield Cast any spell, Return Sol Ring to hand after tapping it. Then cast any 1-2 Colorless mana artifact in hand to generate infinite storm and potentially colorless mana. The storm is the most important part as it is necessary to keep Vivi pinging the opponents.

Niv-Curio Combo

The infamous Niv Combos <3. Man I sure do miss my Niv-Mizzet deck. Glad I can stuff him into this fun edh deck.

Niv-Mizzet, Parun and Curiosity or Ophidian Eye or Tandem Lookout on the battlefield.

Curiosity attached to Niv-Mizzet. You have a way to draw a card. Your library is greater than opponent life total.

1 Draw a card. 2 Niv-Mizzet trigger, dealing 1 damage to any target opponent. 3 Curiosity triggers, allowing you to draw a card. 4 Repeat from step 2.

You can also slap any of those onto VIVI to draw heaps of cards just by casting spells and eventually grab your combo pieces if needed.

Birgi Combo

Birgi, God of Storytelling   on the battlefield. Seething Song and Reiterate in hand. 1 Cast Seething Song by paying 2. 2 Birgi triggers, adding . 3 Holding priority, cast Reiterate with buyback by paying 4, targeting Seething Song. 4 Birgi triggers, adding . 5 Resolve Reiterate, copying Seething Song and returning Reiterate to your hand. 6 Resolve the copy of Seething Song, adding . 7 Repeat from step 3.

Same Combo is made possible using Red Medallion as well without Birgi being on the battlefield.

Changes and Upgrades

Ghyrson Starn, Kelermorph and will replace Firebrand Archer once I can get a reasonably priced copy.

I personally might replace Tandem with Aetherflux Reservoir due to the heavy storm potential in this deck to ramp up Aetherflux damage. Still gonna run some more tests.
