Chainer, Nightmare Adept is a highly efficient reanimating commander who synergizes with other reanimator spells in the deck. His discard ability may seem slow, but can be used on our opponents' turns. This means when it gets back to our turn, we have prime targets for Sheoldred, Whispering One and Feldon of the Third Path.

One of the nastiest cards in the deck has to be Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger. Thanks to Chainer, we don't need to cast Kroxa for the escape cost. He also triggers Terror of the Peaks and Flayer of the Hatebound, meaning a two mana investment can result in discard, damage and/or removal.
