whoops! Forgot to add a card challenge:

From among Planeswalker types already released by Wizards of the Coast, create a Mythic Rare card including two abilites that are alternate lose conditions. That card may NOT be Tybalt.

Ectru, Battlewise Sphinx

Legendary Creature- Sphinx Soldier

When Ectru, Battlewise Sphinx enters the battlefield, draw a card.

Whenever Ectru attacks, put your choice of a kind of counter that a sphinx doesn't have on it from among deathtouch, flying, first strike, hexproof, lifelink, menace, and vigilance. Non-Sphinx soldier creatures get +1/+1 for each counter on sphinxes you control.

For some, war is about glory. For others, Survival. For Ectru its an exercise in mental gymnastics

Have you considered Planar Void? Once it goes into the Graveyard it automatically exiles. speeding up the damage your opponents. There's also the added bonus that, unlike Rest in Peace, it won't automatically exile your whole graveyard when it enters the battlefield, allowing a little bit of interaction if you so wish.

Speaking of Rest in Peace, I noticed you only have Feed the Swarm to deal with that and Leyline of the Void. May I suggest adding any combination of Introduction to Annihilation, Mire in Misery, Pharika's Libation, and Scour from Existence? All of these cards can get you around LotV's and RiP's ability to exile before your cards reach the graveyard..

Also, You may want to considerDakmor Salvage as an extra dredge card.

Hope this helps. Happy Hunting!

Moltencore Ravager

With all the permanents you have already that pump up your power and toughness, I think you can get away with cutting Overrun and Triumph of the Horde. Yes, TotH gives infect; but with all the Elf token makers you have, most of the time you'll kill off your opponents' life before you draw the card.

Another you can cut is Beast Within. If you're using it to sacrifice an elf, Your ability to create a lot of elf tokens negates the need. Opponents' board wipes will better feed your aristocrat permanents.

Cut these three and adding lands will depend on your average CMC per card. My advice is to replace Explosive Vegetation and Skyshroud Claim and replace them with less expensive Elves that tutor lands. They include, but are not limited to, Greenseeker, Sylvan Ranger and Wood Elves. It's not two lands on the battlefield, but you'll make up for it with a land earlier in the game and an elf.

Thank you for reading me out. I hope this helps. Happy Hunting!

I really like how you have your deck synergize well with your graveyard. Normally I would cringe seeing Mesmeric Orb in a deck, but you made it work to your advantage.

I don't think you need to replace spells with lands as much as find spells with a lower mana cost. For example, Visara is a good card, but in my opinion the cost is too high to justify for a non-Rogue creature. Have you considered replacing her with either Nighthowler (you can attach it to Consuming Aberration and give it some protection from players exiling their own graveyards), a tutor card (such as Demonic Tutor or Mastermind's Acquisition) or even a counter spell (such as Didn't Say Please, Psychic Strike or Thought Collapse). Another example is Mirko Vosk. It goes well with your overall strategy, but for the same amount of mana Mind Grind can get around opponents with Hexproof despite milling one less land and you can cast sooner if necessary.

Speaking of Hexproof, Maddening Cacophony and Soaring Thought-Thief also get around it.

As for lands, unless you intend on adding Amulet of Vigor and Ghirapur Orrery at a later date, Having Coral Atoll and Everglades could do your strategy more harm than good since you have to remove other lands from the battlefield only for them to be tapped upon entering. If you choose to add Amulet of Vigor and Ghirapur Orrery, may I also suggest adding Dimir Aqueduct? If you choose to replace Coral Atoll and Everglade, May I suggest lands that allow you to search for lands including, but not limited to, Esper Panorama and Terramorphic Expanse?

Thank you for reading me out. I hope this helps. Happy Hunting!

Congratulations on your Son! I'm pulling for him.

You should name him Kano.

On a side note, the only legendary creature card with both flash and haste is Samut, Voice of Dissent.

ScryLord, thank you very much for the suggestion. You gave me something to think about in terms of graveyards. I've decided not to go with your suggestion because while using opponents' graveyards against themselves is fun, I'm not sure it is as doable in a mono-blue pioneer deck. Ashiok, Dream Render does go black, but all black mana costs are hybrid so it makes it more doable for Drowned Secrets and keeps the deck mono-blue. That and milling tends to fuel graveyard strategies which involve including, but not limited to, Crucible of Worlds, Delve and Escape.

Your suggestion, was good, just not what I was looking for in this deck. Death's Approach, however, is a card I see working well in Phenax of the Many Mills. Thank you very much for the suggestion and I hope this won't sour you on sharing ideas with me in the future.

Happy Hunting!
