Nessian Asp

Creature — Snake

Reach

: Monstrosity 4. (If this creature isn't monstrous, put four +1/+1 counters on this and this becomes monstrous.)

Hmmm ... I think Nemesis of Mortals and Polukranos, World Eater would be a better fit than Nessian Asp and possibly Arbor Colossus . Voracious Hydra would also be a nice fit for your deck. Hope this helps.

Ok, since it's closer to modern, I'll suggest only cards that could fit that format

But, first of all, why don't you reduce your deck up to 60 cards?

Now, since your goal is to get big creatures on the battlefield, why don't you add things like Ghalta, Primal Hunger, Steel Leaf Champion, Rhonas the Indomitable, Thragtusk, Acidic Slime, Craterhoof Behemoth, Gigantosaurus, Primeval Titan, Worldspine Wurm, Thrun, the Last Troll?

I've also seen that you have some creatures that require 2/3 specifical mana, so why not some Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx instead of the Urza's Lands?

Another suggestion could be Utopia Sprawl instead of Market Festival

If you want to draw cards when a creature enters, instead of Zendikar Resurgent and Garruk's Packleader, add Beast Whisperer. It's cheaper

Cards I personally don't like from this deck:

Last thing: since you already have big creatures in your deck, what's the purpose of instant and sorceries that just make them bigger? I'd personally add usefull instants like Vines of Vastwood or Blossoming Defense

+1 for the name =)

Could use one or two powerful creatures like Nessian Asp

So I took a look at your list again, and I had some more advice to give.

Looking at your mana cost ratio, playing eight of each basic seems ineffective. I'd say go to 9 forests, 7 plains and 5 islands. This makes 21 lands. This leaves you three spots for Evolving Wilds or Terramorphic Expanse, but should be enough to cast your spells reliably. Defy death seems really weird here. Maybe try more three-, four- or five drops. Ohran Viper is very powerful, and Ramunap Hydra, though it needs some setup regarding the lands, is cool. Nessian Asp is very useful against flyers.

It's a good start. Removal in green is very hard to find so I like the small touches.

However, something about commander is you always want to have some sort of interaction with your general. It's certainly not necessary but with Multani, I think it's more fun. If you get some card draw in your deck, it would work really well with him.

Try Howling Mine, Font of Mythos, Collective Unconscious, Freyalise, Llanowar's Fury, Garruk, Primal Hunter, Glimpse of Nature, Heartwood Storyteller, Fecundity, Primordial Sage, Regal Force, Rites of Flourishing, Shamanic Revelation, Soul of the Harvest, Triumph of Ferocity or Zendikar Resurgent.

Another important thing in commander is a solid mana base. Running 38 Forests is not all bad but you want some more interaction with your deck. Oran-Rief, the Vastwood and Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx would go really well in your deck. You might also want to consider a Sol Ring and Gilded Lotus because those are commander staples.

Now, what to cut.

Let's start with creatures. One thing you have to think about when casting any kind of spell in a commander game is, "Is this spell worth the mana cost?" and "Does this spell have any kind of interaction in my deck?".

In my opinion, these are the creatures you need to cut. To the right of each, I will put some substitutes:

Ancient Ooze

Ancient Silverback

Awakener Druid

Bloodbriar

Crocodile of the Crossing

Duskdale Wurm ... Pelakka Wurm

Emperor Crocodile

Nessian Asp

Pathbreaker Wurm ... Nylea, God of the Hunt or Brawn or Thunderfoot Baloth or even Primal Rage

Plated Crusher

Prized Unicorn

Pouncing Cheetah

Quilled Slagwurm

Ridgescale Tusker

Scaled Behemoth

Shoe Tree ... This is illegal in commander.

Skysnare Spider

Woodborn Behemoth

Yavimaya Ancients

Yew Spirit

A lot of the creatures you have just don't have much synergy in your deck. Cut them and try out the other recommendations I've given you thus far.

Other cards to cut with recommendations:

Call of the Herd ... Not really worth it unless you're running a token deck which you are not.

Prey Upon ... It's just not very good in commander. Try Ulvenwald Tracker

Might of Old Krosa ... Meh. Try Giant Growth

Shed Weakness ... Unnecessary. Again. Giant Growth

Genju of the Cedars

Gift of Paradise

Living Terrain

Sheltered Aerie

Trial of Strength

Zendikar's Roil

TL;DR I like your deck. It's a good first time commander deck. Try to cut some of the creatures out that don't have any synergy with it. Card draw would go well with your deck. Mono green always has ramp.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask! Welcome to the format.

I had a fun experience with Conspiracy2. I played a blue-green-black deck because I got Leovold, Emissary of Trest.

I got to the winners table thanks to politics (we faced 2 green-white decks that got very big and large very fast, but the other non-white/green player and I played them out against eachother). At the winners table it was the monstreous creatures Nessian Asp and Skittering Crustacean (Krabby) that turned out to be very good. I waited for the right time to play Sangromancer which won me the event.

It was a fun experience for all I think and both melee and monarch are very nice mechanics for multi-player games, can't wait to use them in Commander.

I faced nice decks that used the conspiracies to help them, but I myself barely used the conspiracies or draft matters cards (except Regicide which is awesome)
