This is my rebuild of the 2016 commander deck Stalwart Unity. This deck is meant to be played in a multiplayer setting only as it does not perform very well 1v1. As soon as I sit down at a pod with this deck, I like to announce to the table that I am running group hugs and am in no way interested in winning but rather 2nd place and a good time had by all are my only goals. This typically is met with cynicism and distrust. If you encounter this reaction with this deck fear not, for as long as you play this deck correctly everyone's fears will be placated. Always try to play your "hug" cards first: Howling Mine, Rites of Flourishing, Temple Bell, Dictate of Kruphix, Kami of the Crescent Moon, and of course your commander Kynaios and Tiro of Meletis. Dictate of Karametra, and Wild Evocation are two cards that need to be in play asap. These two make things so much fun for everyone that no one wants to see you die. Plea for Guidance is in this deck specifically to tutor out these two enchantments. Be sure to apologize to all players for the instants and sorceries that will undoubtedly be misplayed due to Wild Evocation and let them know it screws up some of your spells as well. From this point on just sit back and laugh as everyone tries to kill eachother while never even thinking of swinging at you. Meanwhile you'll be locking down the board with all your anti-attack enchantments and setting yourself up for the deathstroke of Treacherous Terrain, reigns of power, and Reverse the Sands. Be sure to talk politics throughout the match. Screwing over the player running black with Reclamation should only be done after asking the other players if they would like black to be shut down. The same goes for dropping Energy Storm lol. This way salty players can't be mad at you alone as it was a group decision haha. Any suggestions on improvements are welcome but please advise what to cut with what to add and keep in mind that I am in no way interested in making this deck competitive for 1v1. Also would love to hear how anyone's play groups reacted when you dropped this deck into their pod.
