Surprise, you're dead.

This guy has been really fun to make. Started off thinking he'd just be a jank budget deck, but he's turning out to be my best and favorite deck. (while still being decently priced)

Goal here is to get Daddy Greven out as soon as possible. I have a few cards to help get him out a turn or two early, which obviously could be improved with Mana Vault or the Moxes, but I don't think I'm ready to spend that kind of money yet. As of now, I believe every card is under $20.

Once he's out, let's hope by then that I have found a way to either (1.) give him unblockable/lifelink/trample with the multiple low cost artifacts I have, (2.) pay as much life as I can with Blood Celebrant, Wall of Blood, or Immolating Souleater or others, or (3.) sacrifice a high power/low toughness creature as I attack to draw cards. I've consistently been killing someone the turn after he gets out (haven't had great luck drawing boots or greaves early).

I have a little bit of removal to help get around their blockers, but hopefully if we're swinging with Greven on turn 4 or 5, they haven't had a great chance to put out two or more creatures. (thanks, Menace) However, Fire Covenant can essentially win the game for you if you have enough life to pay as you cast it.

Have some lifelink in here as well with Whip of Erebos, Vampiric Link, and Basilisk Collar for example. (Gotta counter all this life loss!)

If you are somehow unable to get Greven out or your opponents keep targeting him, the creatures in this deck can actually hold their own pretty well with not too many terrible drawbacks. Plus you can use Tainted Strike on an Immolating Souleater or a Moltensteel Dragon to take out a single player without Greven. Grafted Exoskeleton works nicely as well, just a bit more expensive.

This deck can be really threatening, so just beware of your opponents if they understand what Greven can do! The first time playing against someone with him will probably be the most enjoyable cause they would never think to see a 21/5 unblockable general coming their way on turn 4. You can be struggling for 5 turns trying to get enough mana to cast him and no one will be paying attention to you, but then all of a sudden you cast him, equip Greaves, plop down a Blood Celebrant (need two black mana) or Immolating Souleater (need two colorless mana), and that's game if they can't block.

If anyone has used some other strategies with Greven and I'm not using them here, comment and let me know!
