An opponent considers attacking you to punish your stompy shenanigans, but hesitates in fear of getting lands dumped on thier precious creatures. Another opponent enters their declare blockers phase you attack with big boy Borby, he/she has potential blockers, but Borby needs more lands (there are never enough lands), and blockers that suffocate under thrown lands can't stop trample damage, thus combat becomes a complicated and politically fraught for your enemies. This is the way of the Borborygmos Land Chucker deck

Ramp works differently in this deck, instead of using traditional methods such as exploding vegetation and hard mana rocks, this deck prefers to have lands go to the hand first so that I have the option of throwing them first. The preferred ramp method is to instead increase land drop frequency

Card notes:

Scryb Ranger: a two drop that can bring lands to you hand so Borby can throw them. it can also ramp you when you don't have any lands to play, block Atraxa as well as a number of relevant fliers, or untap your creatures for a variety of applications. A truly unique bundle of abilities.

Life from the Loam: A no brainer in this deck. It's not an instant win card but it quickly gets stupid with Borby.

Storm Couldron: Brings lands back up to your hand for rapid mud chucking but also aggravates opponents, therefore I find that it often does not survive to your next turn. It needs to be played carefully otherwise it could backfire, it plays poorly with lands that come into play tapped.

Basilisk Collar,Berserkers' Onslaught, Gratuitous Violence: These all enable Borby to do immense amounts of damage. I originally used Illusionist's Bracers but I found it a bit to clunky, fragile, and alarming (people seem to react worse to this than gratuitous violence for some reason ???)

If you like EDH decks with a big robust general, immediate abilities that require MANA, and good old fashioned GR smash strategies, Borby's got you covered.
