Life in death are inseparable. The loss of life is not overly tragic, we shall simply use death to reshape and regrow.

The Plan

The game plan is very simple for this deck: fill your grave through Dredge, discard and sacrifice. The deck is meant to win a war of attrition. Jard is an excellent commander because he hits everyone equally. It mixing pain with politics.

Why Jarad?

I chose Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord for a variety of reasons. Firstly, Jarad is one of those commanders who flies under the radar. The deck operates cleanly without needing him that I don't have to risk having to cast him multiple times. Secondly, I can recur him late game when I do cast him by sacrificing excess land. Thirdly, As noted he is a powerful political card and I can often win the game in one fell swoop without my opponents realizing it.

Card Choices

Mossbridge Troll : If I can get Jarad's power high enough I can tap Jarad, get the Troll's power to 25 and then sac it with Jarad's ability.

Deadbridge Chant : this card has a soft spot in my heart. When it was standard legal I built a deck using it. It's still excellent for what it does which is recursion. Random or not, it gives me value.

Lord of Extinction: I don't even need to be deliberate about making him more powerful. As the game goes on he gets bigger. Slam him and sac him with Jarad: Game Over.

Silence the Believers:I run into a lot things that require exiling. Multiple exiling is fantastic.
