Sleep Paralysis Discussion

Bony Spider

Creature - Skeleton Spider

, Exile Bony Spider from your graveyard: Destory target creature with Flying.

, Exile another creature card from your graveyard: Return Bony Spider from your graveyard to your hand.

I'd like a simple, but novel common removal spell like Pacifism , Unsummon / Sleep Paralysis , Murder , Lightning Strike , Rabid Bite / Plummet

Hmmm perhaps its mana cost should've been . Its ability gets better and better with each commander tax though :)

Ready thine Pacifism and Lawmage's Binding and Demotion and Luminous Bonds and Curse of Chains and Sleep Paralysis ! We're going to make our enemies groan! (maybe if we're really mean we'll run some Abduction or Control Magic )

You have a pretty low curve so you should be able to safely go down to 37-38 lands and rely on more ways to pull lands out of your deck en masse to trigger Omnath. Ramunap Excavator coupled with Evolving Wilds , Terramorphic Expanse , Myriad Landscape and the like should keep you being able to hit multiple triggers on each of your turns.

Sleep Paralysis won't do much to shut some commanders whose activated abilities don't require tapping. Imprisoned in the Moon may give an opponent a bit of a mana boost but I assure you they'd rather have their commander back.

Izzet generally doesn't struggle against aggro. Especially right now. My advice is that if you want to give this deck flavor, you're looking at Arclight Phoenix , Crackling Drake , Erratic Cyclops , and Guttersnipe .

What I'm curious about is where your removal is. I suggest flipping into midrange. It's flexible and what Izzet does best. For your instants and sorceries I suggest 2x Lava Coil , 3x Jaya's Greeting , 3x Sinister Sabotage , 4x Opt , 2-3x Mission Briefing , and 2x Ral's Outburst over your current noncreature spells. Why aren't you playing at least one copy of Chemister's Insight ?

Your curve is too saturated to be an "aggro" deck, which is best defined by keeping your curve low to outpace your opponent through damage. What you should consider is changing into midrange, as it's more of what this deck is seeking to perform as.

My last note is that you are playing some bad cards. Dreadhorde Twins , Invading Manticore , Bone to Ash , Goblin Gathering , No Escape , Nahiri, Storm of Stone , Sleep Paralysis , and Slimebind . Cards (not already mentioned) that are bad in an aggro deck are Murmuring Mystic , Shivan Dragon (seriously not a good card), your whole counterspell suite, the Chandras, and Izzet Guildgate will slow you down behind your opponents.

Sleep Paralysis is not legal in Standard at the moment; if you want to play this deck you'll have to remove it. Other than that, MuhfuxinHanSolo89 pretty much has the measure of it.

You are majorly missing out by not having any white in this deck. PickleNutz gave you good feedback. Sleep Paralysis isn't great. I think you should add Detention Sphere or Prison Term instead. Also, Deny Existence should be replaced with either Essence Scatter, Render Silent, or Negate. It's not a great counter spell and the exile component isn't really worth the extra mana in my opinion, especially if you add white (which you should) and start running Path to Exiles.
