Hello, friend.

So Gallowbraid has been around for quite a long time. He's been a decent value creature for a while. And yet no one has valued his time as he stand on a list of Unplayable commander.

This has made Gallowbraid a little bit angry.

So he has asked me to show people the joy of PAIN,I mean, playing Gallowbraid as a commander. And then others will see the beauty of watching you and your enemy's burn from the inside.

The deck

The deck is built around paying large amounts of life for value in order to do crazy thing with that lack of life later.

Necropotence , Phyrexian Arena and Infernal Darkness do it incrementally.

Damnable Pact is only limited by the amount of mana we can produce (Oh and we draw like ten cards too, whatever) but even that isn't enough for us.

Hatred, Minion of the Wastes, Phyrexian Processor. All of them have no limit to the amount of life you can pay. You can pay 39 life and make 39/39's or kill someone in one shot.

But why would we wanna be at such low life?

Oh how foolish you are.

Mirror Universe and Magus of the Mirror an give you life your opponents have been so rudely misusing. Soul Conduit does this willy nilly and even let's you swap opponents life totals. But Repay in Kind is my absolute favorite.

Oh, we were playing a stalled out game that will probably go on for a while. Hatred, Repay in Kind. Now we're all at 2.

And with Wound Reflection even making an opponent go from 30 to 20 with a Mirror like effect can cripple people. Or just one hit kill with Repay in Kind. Exquisite Blood powers you up form your opponents suffering. And Sanguine Bond can kill people with their own life.

Lock pieces

Of course, if we're gonna be going down to such low life, we probably need to not die.

Koskun Falls is our only real pillow fort piece but that's just because you aren't thinking outside the box.

Contamination and Infernal Darkness can lock opponents out of the game. With Reassembling Skeleton, Contamination becomes an infinite lock on it's own.

Crawlspace and Silent Arbiter limit how many creature you play. Ward of Bones is a neat one considering we play very few creatures. Playing a burn deck? Meet Witchbane Orb or Orbs of Warding .

No Mercy and Death Pits of Rath Incentives people to not attack you. Lethal Vapors say they just can't be there at all.

And then if all else fails. Platinum Angel just doesn't care.

Other stuff

The rest of the deck is pretty self explanatory. Gallowbraid wants blood too, so we play a few voltron pieces. Argentum Armor, Whispersilk Cloak, Batterskull Ect.

Removal like Doom Blade, Hero's Downfall Malicious Affliction .

Good stuff like Geth, Lord of the Vault Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief and Avatar of Woe

And the mana base which is basically Cabal Coffers Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth and some other stuff.

This has been my favorite deck to build so far. And I think this deck might actually be decent. I will admit that if you wanted to build this suicide life deck, you should probably splash white for stuff like Ghostly Prison but this is one that i really enjoyed making.Don't underestimate the demon.
