This deck aims to play a control game and win with commander damages or some alternate win conditions, including opponents cards.

Dragonlord Ojutai is a clock by itself, being a 5/4 with evasion, but in order to be really threatening, he needs some help. Giving him +1 attack reduces the clock by one turn, but with +2, we get to the 3 turn threshold.

Being a threat also means being a target. Thankfully, Dragonlord Ojutai has a built in protection, hexproof as long as he is untapped. So we need to provide him vigilance. Cards like Avarice Amulet or Sword of Vengeance are really good there because they can pass the 7 attack threshold and give our commander vigilance at the same time.

We can slow opponents down, block their combo win and also protect our commander with counterspells. We try to stay avoid being attacked with Propaganda and Ghostly Prison , but we can also gain life with Loxodon Warhammer .

Alternates win conditions are Approach of the Second Sun , Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur with a Darksteel Plate equiped and cards of our opponents.

The rest of deck is a classic draw/ramp/removal/tutors package, required in commander (even though I could argue that less tutors = more fun).

The tutors can get artifacts (especially equipements), one can get enchantements, one instants and 2 sorceries (to be somewhat consistent in the Approach of the Second Sun or Rite of Replication win).

My goal building this deck was also to play cards from the incomming signature spellbook jace. I could get in Negate , Counterspell , Mystical Tutor and Brainstorm . Gifts Ungiven is banned and Jace Beleren , Blue Elemental Blast , Threads of Disloyalty are just bad in commander, or at least in my playgroup.

Maybeboard are cards that are expensive or I didn't know how to fit in the deck. Since Mystic Confluence is getting reprinted, I may move it to the main board
