This deck has 47 "0" drops. The Gameplan is very simple:

  • Turn one cast a 0 or 1 mana creature (or an X creature for 1)

  • Turn two cast reality chip

  • turn three reconfigure the reality chip onto your creature

  • turn four cast your library until you find something that cares about the amount of artifacts you cast. ( ex. Patchwork Automaton or Kappa Cannoneer) then cast the rest of your library.

Alternatively, cards that get +1/+1 for each artifact you control can make an easy substitution like Karn, Scion of Urza's tokens, or Urza's Saga's tokens.

There are some alternative game plans like finding either Urza, Lord High Artificer or Inspiring Statuary allowing you to turn your 0 mana artifacts into mana rocks. This allows you to cast an X creature with typically 20-40 +1/+1 counters.

Also, there are some ways to interact with +1/+1 counters with cards like Flux Channeler, Arcbound Crusher, and The Ozolith. These allow you to later in the game put +1/+1 counters onto cards you cast for 2 mana like Hangarback Walker, Walking Ballista, and Cryptic Trilobite.

Additionally, you can interact with charge counters with cards like Throne of Geth, Surge Node, and Coretapper. These cards allow you to make your Astral Cornucopia, Everflowing Chalice, and Orochi Hatchery into useful cards especially since typically you will cast these with 0 or 1 charge counters on them.

Finally, the final win condition is laboratory maniac. The reason this deck doesn't play thassa's oracle is you don't want to get stuck with a card on the top of your library you don't want to cast but laboratory maniac can be cast long before it matters.

There is one final interaction any other pilot of this deck should know. Engineered Explosives and Elixir of Immortality. Using these two cards you can reset your library by destroying all artifacts with CMC 0 on your board (which in late game is typically going to be 20-40). In short, sacrifice Engineered Explosives for 0 and activate the Elixir of Immortality to refill your deck with all of the 0 drops on your board allowing you to get more cast triggers.

If you wanted to make this deck more budget here are some easy cuts:

Mana Crypt -> Millikin

Mana Vault -> Conjurer's Bauble

Lotus Petal -> Gitaxian Probe

Mox Amber -> Spellskite

Urza, Lord High Artificer -> Whir of Invention (Typically to tutor for Inspiring Statuary)

Urza's Saga -> Island

Academy Ruins -> Island

If you wanted to upgrade this deck here are some additions you could make although my playgroup isn't a huge fan of these cards or they're expensive lol:

Island -> Chrome Mox

Gustha's Scepter -> Jeweled Lotus

Island -> Lion's Eye Diamond

Island -> Mox Diamond

Island -> Mox Opal

Springleaf Drum -> Grim Monolith

Coretapper -> Sensei's Divining Top

Energy Chamber -> Helm of Awakening

Surge Node -> Cloud Key

Karn, Scion of Urza -> Etherium Sculptor

Paradoxical Outcome -> Krark-Clan Ironworks

Island -> Ancient Tomb

Island -> Mishra's Workshop

Island -> Gemstone Caverns
