A jund colored Dragon Tribal Deck.

While Prossh is of course kind of broken with various other combo pieces, but I avoided that since I think combo decks are often just too annoying to play with and against in EDH. I later moved on From Prossh to Korvald, who may be even more broken in a general sense, but I needed the card draw and it surprisingly fit in the deck anyhow.

Instead I chose to create a Dragon tribal deck in a similar aesthetic to the planes of Jund and Tarkir. Originally the deck featured a heavy sacrifice theme for which Prossh would provide most of the fodder. That has fallen slightly to the wayside because I also own a Kresh deck and there was too much overlap. Instead the deck features two other subthemes: Fight and Morph.

Fight was added as an interesting theme due to the card Foe-Razer Regent. Dragon's are usually very large and can quite easily pick off enemy creatures by fighting them. They can then also attack because the air should be clear.

Morph naturally grew out of that with the card Temur War Shaman which is one of the few repeatable Fight effects in existence. With the need for providing more morph creatures and the surprising lack of Dragons with Morph, naturally the manifest mechanic is a perfect fit, with cards like Qarsi High Priest and Whisperwood Elemental being ways to "cheat" more cards from your library onto the battlefield, which also helps the curve quite a bit. The continued down-pressure on the cost of Dragons to make them more appealing and the natural slow power creep of the game also helped.

After adding Korvold I switched out some cards to be more palpatable with him, though stuff like the Morph Package or simply playing Awakening Zone and From Beyond already quite naturally fit in with him. I am particularly happy with the newest addition, Purphoros, Bronze-Blooded, who doesn't just allow to cheat some dragons into play before one would naturally be able to do so and is a hard to kill global haste effect, but is also a sneaky sacrifice "outlet" that plays into Korvold.
