This is one of the EDH decks I'm most proud of. It's not "competitive," but it is pretty powerful and resilient.

The deck revolves around the activated ability of the The Scarab God . In a multiplayer game you get to inconspicuously accumulate insane card advantage. You can reuse yours or other players' dead creatures, which means any removal or board wipes is drawing you cards.

You play value creatures with ETB effects that draw you cards (Mulldrifter, Baleful Strix, Dusk Legion Zealot), control the board (Carnifex Demon, Massacre Wurm, Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief, etc.), and give you value (Ophiomancer, Ogre Slumlord, etc). The many clones let you cast and reanimate the best thing around.

You rock 10 mana rocks and a couple other accelerators because you can never be flooded in this deck. The Scarab God is a mana sink. You also want to do bigger stuff than most other decks (excluding the green player), and do it twice (unlike the green player). However, I took out the Mana Vault and Mana Crypt for other decks that use them even more. I plan on eventually getting more Vaults, but they are not urgent. And Crypts are too expensive to put in every deck.

Win conditions:

  1. Beat them with their own toys. I've won a game by disrupting a Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker combo, then proceeding to clone their surviving Zealous Conscripts and reanimating Kiki. I've also won games by beating down with 4/4 Zombies.

  2. Mirror-Mad Phantasm in the graveyard with The Scarab God or Necrotic Ooze in play is a table kill. Reanimate a copy of the phantasm (or activate the Ooze) and that will mill your entire library. Reanimate the Laboratory Maniac you just milled with the God or Dread Return, and draw a card by flashing back Think Twice or reanimating something like Mulldrifter. You can Entomb the phantasm or use Corpse Connoisseur. Alternatively, the Phantasm on the battlefield can be cloned and the clone activated.

  3. Reanimate Gray Merchant of Asphodel, clone the Merchant, reanimate another clone entering as a Merchant. Drain the table for over 40.

Any feedback is greatly appreciated!
