I want to play some Elder Dinosaur Highlander, and what better way to do so than to shock my opponents with a mono-red commander that steals spells. Etali takes from all opponents, not just the defending player, and he doesn't even have to connect with combat damage! If my opponents have some shenanigans like deathtouch blockers, Maze of Ith will aid my commander and I still reap the benefits. Fantastic.
