On this episode of Tribal decks that really don't have as much support as you'd think they would have...

Ooze Tribal!

So with one of my favorite cards being Biogenic Ooze and me being a sucker for building Janky tribal decks I decided to try and build Ooze tribal in EDH, pulling out all the stops. I used the The Mimeoplasm as my commander since he grants the most colors for a legendary Ooze, but with the release of Ikoria Umori, the Collector just so happened to also be an ooze. So, I built an EDH deck with the twist of Umori, the Collector being my companion.

That's right, Only Creatures and Lands for me to work with, so how does it work? Surprisingly Well.

• To start off this breakdown we start with all the Ooze creatures in our Ooze tribal deck. There are some janky Oozes like Mephitic Ooze and Gluttonous Slime but some can offer some serious utility. Scavenging Ooze is repeatable graveyard hate, Acidic Slime can get rid of some major problematic permanents, and cards like Prime Speaker Vannifar are a repeatable source of value.

• The second main point in the deck is our Graveyard synergies. Lots of oozes care about the graveyard with cards like Necrotic Ooze so it is important to be able to keep it full while also being able to recur key cards if we need. Satyr Wayfinder and the infamous Hermit Druid can ramp while stocking our graveyard, and Underrealm Lich is a fantastic way to fill while also getting us key cards. For recursion we have standard creatures like Eternal Witness and Greenwarden of Murasa to get back cards we need, and also some sacrifice synergies in Whisper, Blood Liturgist and Hell's Caretaker to sacrifice cards that are fine dying like Wonder or Mitotic Slime to get back big payoffs.

• Side Combo; Filth + Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth can make our entire team unblockable.

• Finally Oozes also care about +1/+1 counters, so we have a counter theme to go along with that. Cards Evolution Sage and Winding Constrictor can double up our counters, with Pir, Imaginative Rascal + Toothy, Imaginary Friend working wonders with this subtheme.

• As for the glue that holds this deck together we have good ramp creatures like Birds of Paradise and Incubation Druid. We can answer pesky permanents in Reclamation Sage and Acidic Slime, Draw cards with Beast Whisperer and Consecrated Sphinx, and we even have a counterspell in Mystic Snake.
