This Abzan deck focuses on abusing the keyword abilities of its creatures in the graveyard for the purposes of triggering Kathril and enhancing existing creatures on the battlefield. Since Kathril wants creatures in the graveyard in order to splash keyword counters among creatures we control, the 99 is filled with various ways to get them into the graveyard. The goal of this build is for Kathril to strengthen already powerful creatures with additional keyword ability counters and then utilize them in combat in order to achieve victory. Further, Kathril gets a +1 +1 counter for each keyword ability counter placed on a creature, and since Kathril can be targeted by his own enter the battlefield trigger and receive all of these keyword counters, our General can become a threat to eliminate opponents through lethal Commander damage.
