Jori En is an excellent commander for Izzet. She's cheap to cast, and the second spell draw ability is helpful without raising a lot of attention from your opponents.

My general gameplan is to get Jori on the board and use counter magic to disrupt everyone else's plan while I draw the good stuff. Teferi's Puzzle Box is good at keeping everyone off their game.

Drawing with Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind on the board gets damage down. I managed to deck an opponent once which I didn't think was possible.

I'll write more later. I'd love some suggestions.
