A different take on the classic Emmara token decks, by adding a soldier tribal theme. The deck looks to get Emmara, Soul of the Accord on the battlefield as quickly as possible to begin generating solider tokens, then adding more soldiers from hand over the following turns to buff and protect your board.

The deck runs a considerable amount of artefact and enchantment removal, to slow down and disrupt opponents while you build your army. As with other aggressive decks, the main weakness is board-wipes, and to this end cards such as Dauntless Escort , Teferi's Protection and Flawless Maneuver act to protect your board while you setup. Having board protection in the opening hand is ideal, and can often mean the difference between winning and losing.

Evan with protection in hand, counter-spells are inevitable, and when you are pulling ahead with an army of soldier tokens boardwipes will sometimes outnumber your ability to answer them. Therefore, deck also looks to be able to rebuild (with soldiers, of course) very quickly, with cards like March of the Multitudes and Finale of Glory to get you back in the game.

As with other Emmara builds, making sure your commander can turn sideways is critical. Paradise Mantle , Cryptolith Rite and Glare of Subdual , along with the tutors to find them, ensure that she always can. Survivors' Encampment also helps in this regard.

Finishers include the classics of Craterhoof Behemoth and Triumph of the Hordes , but cards like Beastmaster Ascension and Cathars' Crusade are also very effective if given more than a few turns without being destroyed. The best games i have had are wins that come from the different soldier lords such as Field Marshal and Daru Warchief buffing each other and your tokens, but this is obviously a slower and more telegraphed game plan.

Overall, this deck values flavour over raw power, but I am interested in opinions on where to improve. Feel free to leave constructive criticism, and thanks for reading!
