No lifegain. Sadly, these are mostly enchantments and black sucks at removing enchantments. Cards to prepare for: Sulfuric Vortex , Leyline of Punishment ,

How do we win with this deck?

Victory will be achieved through a combo facilitated by ramping into necessary tutors.

The basic combo is simple, with K'rrik in play, use Carrion Feeder + Gravecrawler to sac and replay Gravecrawler to enable one of several possible combos. The first and an obvious one is Aetherflux Reservoir , another is Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond , with extort as a theme, using K'rrik to pay life for extort costs puts us ahead most times and if we can pay Mana into it instead of life that can put us enough ahead to pay with life to win. K'rrik himself grows stronger and so does Carrion Feeder, so there's two infinitely large towers available, and Ashnod's Altar is the preferred way to generate infinite Mana with this combo, but instead you sac Gravecrawler to the Altar instead of Carrion Feeder.

Ramp Strategies for Mono Black

With no access to green, we're going to have to rely on some ritual effects and Mana rocks. K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth is our Commander because of how he ramps for us, allowing us to trade life for Mana by making every black Mana requirement black Phyrexian Mana instead. Paying for the generic Mana still remains an issue. Absolute keepers are Gilded Lotus , Sol Ring , Dark Ritual , Bontu's Monument
