The idea is to abuse ETB effects (like all Athreos decks) or make opponents take damage and extort for damage. The boring ass exquisite blood - sanguine bond combo is in there to end gridlocked games quickly. Vampire hexmage is there to kill planeswalkers and can be brought back with Sun titan or reanimator cards. Sac outlets are there to kill my stuff to trigger Athreos' ability when I want and Deathrender to cheat my biggest threats onto the battlefield for free (hopefully) since artifacts are fragile in this format and have a tendency to get blowed up. The other creatures are just basic black/white goodstuff/ utility creatures.

TL;DR I get Athreos online, start sacking stuff, extort people, and burn with Athreos' ability and or attack with nasty creatures.
