Rakdos, The Defiler. The original badass. This deck is as metal as it gets. Throw away half your life - sure no problem. Sacrifice all your permanents - go for it. This is a 75% deck designed to make some splashy plays that require real cojones. The commander is for the most part unnecessary to the gameplan, as he hangs out in his command dungeon.

Mana ramp: these are the cards that will get us going. There are some typical rakdos EDH options including Cabal Coffers, Cabal Stronghold, Wayfarer's Bauble, Surveyor's Scope, Mana Vault, Mana Crypt, Talisman of Indulgence, Rakdos Signet, Arcane Signet, Sol Ring. Then there is a selection of ramp that provide big short term immediate gain - Generator Servant, K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth, Cabal Ritual, Dark Ritual, Burnt Offering, Dockside Extortionist, Treasonous Ogre, Neheb, Dreadhorde Champion.

Card advantage: these are the cards that keep the deck churning. Vilis, Broker of Blood, Bloodgift Demon, Rune-Scarred Demon, Pain's Reward, Necrologia, Liliana's Contract, Infernal Contract, Ill-Gotten Gains, Faithless Looting, Doom Whisperer, Demonic Consultation, Buried Alive, Entomb.

Reanimation options: this deck plays great out of its graveyard. Living Death, Balthor the Defiled, Animate Dead, Reanimate, Necromancy.
