Part of my Elder Dragon deck challenge - focused on telling Piru's narrative and exploring her themes.

Considering her death is sadly the central focus of her story (to the point to being the old reason why she was counted as an Elder Dragon full stop for a while), I've focused on a Retribution burn/death trigger/bleed opp/life as a resource/boardwipe on wings theme with Dihada, Binder of Wills as an alt commander/Lieutenant. Lots of treasure generation to help pay the costs of this quite high CMC deck.

Piru Piru and her mate, Chromium Rhuell birthed an entire nations of dragons (plenty of Dominarian dragons), including the primeval dragon Crosis, the Purger (Shriek of Dread). Piru and Chromium were among the very few Elder Dragons who survived the Elder Dragon War (The Elder Dragon War Saga). Piru fought Dakkon Blackblade but was killed when Dakkon, controlled (Blacksmith's Skill, Profane Tutor) by Dihada (Dihada, Binder of Wills), stabbed her with the Blackblade (Blackblade reforged)

Flying, lifelink At the beginning of your upkeep, sacrifice Piru, the Volatile unless you pay {R}{W}{B}. When Piru dies, it deals 7 damage to each nonlegendary creature.

Combos: Brash Taunter + Aetherflux Reservoir = Infinite damage. Infinite lifegain triggers.

1. Give Brash Taunter lifelink
2. Activate Aetherflux Reservoir by paying fifty life, dealing fifty damage to Brash Taunter
3. Brash Taunter triggers, dealing fifty damage to an opponent and causing you to gain fifty life
4. Repeat Step 2 until everyone is dead

But this can be done with any creature with indestructible & lifelink + Aetherflux Reservoir
