Breeches and Malcom, Pinging Pirate Party

Commander / EDH UR (Izzet)

Ahoy there matey! 'Tis I, Captain AfroMagic17, and today I bring you my latest creation in commander ideas! The goal of this deck is to fire the cannons at all of your opponents and steal their booty! Like two sirens of the sea, as soon as I saw Breeches, Brazen Plunderer + Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator , I had me heart set upon a ping deck idea featuring this delinquent duo!

**

Particular Pirates of the 99**

Amphin Mutineer - This mate here be one of my methods of removal. For sometimes, what good be a strategy if you can't defeat your obstacles! Dargo, the Shipwrecker - What kind of mate would you need except for one that gets cheaper when you spend your plundered booty? Hullbreacher - Now, it ain't right when others try to sneak some valuable loot when you aren't looking, so this lad "requisitions" those goods for "proper" usage. Coercive Recruiter - If someone ever told you that their is such as thing as too many pirates, then kindly throw that landlubber overboard! Also, if needed be, recruit some of your own pirates to reload their cannons for more loot! Merchant Raiders - Sometimes, your opponents have a few pesky creatures that won't let you get in for some proper booty! this buccaneer can easily make a path so that you can go in for the steal, and keep them down! Lightning-Rig Crew - Oh boy, this crewmate is a blessing in this deck! People are going crazy over a jeweled lotus, but this scurvy dog makes you mana that you can use for anything you want! Glint-Horn Buccaneer - From our actual pirates, this guy is our game ender, as he goes nearly infinite as long as we are attacking, so of course I had to include him!

Honorary Pirates**

Sometimes you want certain seamen that have good effects, but they may not have that sweet sweet pirate qualification. Don't worry though, with effects like Arcane Adaptation, Coercive Recruiter, Captain's Hook, or others, they can dawn the pirate mantle as needed! Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind - While this big dragon may not be a pirate in name, he has a lust for treasure (knowledge) that makes him a pirate at heart! Atemsis, All-Seeing - Dealing with sphinxes is a risky game, but you can come out on top if you work them right! As an emergency source of card draw, Atemsis can even deal a killing ping if we play our cards right! Tandem Lookout - Now, of course with our Niv, this ends the game, but in general, I like to have him as a means to make my pingers draw cards for me! Havoc Jester - Big things do come in small packages, and this guy is no exception! Unfortunately, this guy doesn't like seeing me spend those hard earned treasure, so he has to take out his wee anger on an unsuspecting opponent. But, if we get this matey suited up in pirate garb, then its all over for our enemies!

Hello to everyone reading this!

-1x Fire Diamond -1x Shimmering Grotto -1x Unknown Shores -1x Coastline Marauders -1x Hullbreacher

+1x Arcane Signet +1x Unclaimed Territory +1x Path of Ancestry +1x Emberwilde Captain +1x Timestream Navigator

multimedia suggested more mana base improvements, so that is mostly what ive done. However, with Coastline Marauders , I felt the card wasn't doing the most that I could make use of. Emberwilde Captain is a wonderful addition that not only nets you a card, but if someone attacks you, with both commanders out, not only will they lose a bit of life for trying to take the crown, but you also make them exile mill a card, and you get a mana that you can use later!

I also am debating on two non-pirates to add to the deck. Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar makes so that if I hit someone with my commander, I get an additional two treasures, for the possibility of gaining 5 treasures from combat! Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker serves as a method to hasten my non-legendary pirates, and goes infinite combat with Port Razer assuming that you have a good target to hit, or goes fully infinite with Coercive Recruiter as you not only gain infinite recruiters, but you also gain control of each non-hexproof/shroud creature your opponents control!
