I had another deck almost exactly like this one up here before, but since I changed the deck so many times from when I first put it up to the day I write this, I thought maybe I'd just start fresh. The old deck had likes from previous incarnations, upvotes from same, and the numbers didn't actually reflect the deck as currently listed. So, now that I think it's done, here it is new.

This is a stax deck. That was the fundamental principle going into the building of this deck, and it is given away by the presence of cards such as Smokestack, Winter Orb, Hokori, Dust Drinker, Descent into Madness, etc. However, I include some taxing effects, and multiple instances of multiplayer discard spells. There is a heavier focus on planeswalkers in this deck, and I have found that the presence of any one of them in correlation with lockdown makes my board state a lot easier to deal with for my own ends. Everyone else has more difficulty, as they should.

This is ImportantI don't have a lot of card draw, so I am actually very reliant on two things. Queen Marchesa making me the monarch, and sheer patience in how I begin to deploy my threats. If you enjoy playing hyper aggressively, never play like this. I mean, that should be obvious anyway, this is a control deck mostly, but it bears repeating I think in case someone ever does think of giving this deck a try.

One further note. I know about the Stranglehold Maralen of the Mornsong combo. I will not play it. My meta is not competitive, and I refuse to include combos in my decks that are instant complete lockdown in the same way that I refuse to play the Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond combo. I always want people to win or lose against my decks in a fashion that is always, at least in theory, feasible. No combos that just say, "I win." Other than that, all suggestions are certainly welcome.
