Embrace your Darkness, and succumb to temptation...

Welcome to a realm of sadism, death, and satisfaction.

When we enter a game, we must do so with a plan. Mulligans are alright if you don't think you can get there with a hand of 7. I wouldn't go below 5 cards in hand though. We are looking at creating an explosive amount of discard early in the game, and want to hemorrhage our opponents resources before they can use any of them to their advantage. A game of top-decks is often enough to grind through our opponents' resources. An ideal hand consists of Swamp, Dark Ritual, Entomb, and Reanimate, with Sol Ring being a sweet bonus. We are looking at slamming down a Sire Of Insanity using this assortment of cards, and then beating our opponents life out with our 6/6 that forces mass discard as soon as you choose to go to end-step. Nearly every hand that holds an efficient tutor, some form of acceleration like Talisman of Indulgence, a looting effect like Faithless Looting, 2 lands, and a desirable early tax effect such as a Necrogen Mists or Meekstone is a highly debatable hand, as it has a direction to begin moving, fueling our graveyard or interacting with our opponents in a meaningful way.

Your mid-game has a variety of appearances, as it can be swayed heavily by how explosive your start is, and how well the deck disrupts or interacts with our opponents in the early turns of the game. Dark Tutelage allows us to consistently create card advantage each turn, while the deck has been built to an average of roughly 3 CMC to keep the pain caused per card relatively low. Mindslicer may appear at this stage of your game and wreak havoc upon everyone's hands when paired with Smallpox, Pox, and Tainted AEther, as well as several cheap boardwipes calling this deck home.

Late game, we have access to very devastating effects, such as Jokulhaups, Living Death while Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker, Combat Celebrant/Zealous Conscripts is in your graveyard, Archfiend of Ifnir to suppress our opponents boards and hands simultaneously, and Mindslicer to completely devastate our opponents and stop their progression in a game completely, or simply creating infinite combat steps and/or tokens with the beforementioned Kiki-Jiki lines. Achieving a critical mass of enchantments and creating a wide gap between your opponents life totals and your own is often key to this deck's success.
