This is an Eon Hub deck, the idea is to play spells that have a bad effect in the upkeep like cumulative upkeep and echo and use Eon Hub to blank that, also it screws with a lot of powerful effects, particularly enchantments that other decks bring to the table. Backups for the cumulative upkeep are braid of fire and hex parasite

Some of the most powerful effects in the deck are Glacial Chasm and its friends Soul Echo and Delaying Shield which, while Eon Hub is on the battlefield keep you alive, Naked Singularity which screws with people's Mana, of note is the interaction with Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth which allows it to blank non-basics. If you are stuck behind Glacial Chasm, good finishers include Heartless Hidetsugu and Nicol Bolas Planeswalker.

This is not by any means a fully optimized build of the deck, many cards are in there just because the deck is all about hating the Upkeep: for example the Pact cycle, while essentially free when Eon Hub is on the battlefield still need to have their cost's paid whenever Hub goes away.

Also of note if Ruination and friends is prevalent in your metagame then I would suggest switching up the manabase, as I play mostly online mass land destruction is frowned upon in a multiplayer setting, I am comfortable with this manabase as the deck runs some pretty punishing mana costs.
