Enchantment (1)

Aminatou, the Fateshifter deck that focuses on blinking various planeswalkers to reset their loyalty and use their abilities again. A lot of the planeswalkers that came out in WAR fit this theme nicely, as they usually have pretty strong minus abilities.

The goal for this deck is to control the board using planeswalkers, repeatable ETB effects ( Ravenous Chupacabra and the like) while protecting yourself then comboing off or winning through combat since it's normal to make your opponents void of all creatures.

Some other pretty nice permanents to blink are:

Reality Acid — A really nice, repeatable removal spell. You can -1 Aminatou to blink it since it says a permanent you own (not control, so you can target things you have enchanted on another player's permanents), so you can enchant another player's permanent and when you blink it, they have to sacrifice it and you can enchant something else when it enters again. Really nice since they have to sacrifice it, so it gets around indestructible.

Spark Double — Blinking this can change what it copies so you can trigger another ETB effect or, more likely, be able to use even more planeswalker abilities per turn.

Deepglow Skate — A pretty obvious inclusion; the fish can easily get your planewalkers in ult range or keep Aminatou loaded with counters, something this deck can struggle with sometimes.

Thalia's Lancers — Since all planeswalkers are legendary now, this can find any of them you need. This is made better with the WAR planeswalkers having static effects so you can almost use it as a toolbox, i.e. Narset stopping the blue player from drawing too many cards or Ashiok stopping a combo player from tutoring their win con. Most importantly, this can find Oath of Teferi which is probably the best card in this deck. Can also find Primevals' Glorious Rebirth .

Prison Realm — I use this over Oblivion Ring just because of the scry, and blinking this can choose what you want to exile with the option of changing your mind later on.

Gonti, Lord of Luxury — Self-explanatory, but since you don't require the same Gonti to be on the field to cast the card, you can load up on more spells to use throughout the game. Also pretty nice for incidentally taking your opponent's answers for your own stuff.

Every other permanent that can be blinked for value are self-explanatory.

Some other notable inclusions:

Oath of Teferi — As I mentioned earlier, this is probably the best enabler in the deck. I really only care about its second effect allowing me to use two PW abilities a turn. This gets absolutely broken with Aminatou blinking planeswalkers, for example:

  1. Use Narset, Parter of Veils -2 to look at the top four cards and take a noncreature, nonland card and put it in your hand and the rest on bottom.

  2. Repeat.

  3. Blink it with Aminatou.

  4. Repeat steps 1 and 2.

  5. Blink it with Aminatou.

  6. Repeat steps 1 and 2.

Now you have 6 activations of a planeswalker minimum per turn. If you add in Felidar Guardian and blink that for Aminatou's second activation, you have infinite activations of all your planeswalkers. You can easily win the game with certain planeswalkers after this.

Winter Orb — Once you have a good handful of planeswalkers/creatures on the field, you can drop this and continue to activate away every turn while other players struggle to do anything.

Altar of the Brood — Really good synergy with blinking permanents, and goes infinite with Felidar Guardian + Aminatou.

Urza's Ruinous Blast — My best board wipe in the deck. Being able to exile everything but keep all my planeswalkers can be extremely good.

Approach of the Second Sun — Just a pet card of mine and it's a good finisher in Esper. It's pretty easy to play it then draw enough to play it next turn or even the same turn, for example Narset can find it the same turn you play it and get ready to play it the following turn.

The Elderspell — You have probably already seen this tech, but you can destroy all of your planeswalkers except one, giving it a bunch of counters and ult them. Can set up a spicy Primevals' Glorious Rebirth and give you a game-winning emblem or powerful ultimate ability.

This used to be an old Atraxa deck but it got too boring and converted it into this. I splurged on some of these cards, so there are probably better options I could be using. This deck has been a ton of fun so far and can be pretty oppressive. If you have any suggestions, feel free to let me know!
