My idea was that I wanted to make a 5-color deck using the 3 legends from Kaleidoscope Killers, but as the name suggests, this deck is Dead Space themed and everything going on in it relates to or symbolizes characters, enemies, and/or locations etc that the player experienced in the Dead Space series. Dead Space is a gruesome game where you fight these mutated, basically zombified, alien monsters called Necromorphs that resemble the artwork in a lot of the Scarecrows and Slivers I came across while building the deck! The strategy is to try to achieve ‘Convergence’ by turning your board into Scarecrows, Slivers, and Dragons simultaneously and eventually infecting opponent’s creatures as well, then swinging out with a huge army of beaters that have several keywords. Certain other cards resemble main protagonists and antagonists in the story, as well as what the card actually does in relation to what happens in the game. The Brethren Moon (the final form of the Necromorphs) and the signal it emits to turn people into Necromorphs is represented by Arcane Adaptation, and the two Markers that also emit that signal are represented by Conspiracy and Mirrormade. Sort of fitting because in the story, one Marker was unearthed by people who were fooled into believing it had limitless energy, thus, a conspiracy...and one of the markers was a ‘copy’ that was created by the government to try to replicate the ‘free energy source’ they thought it provided, this Mirrormade. Isaac is represented by Smothering Tithe, who can be turned into a creature with Starfield of Nyx. Ellie represents Xantcha, Sleeper Agent, and Carver is represented by Sylvia Brightspear. The goal of the deck is to achieve ‘Convergence’ by attaining all three creature types in the deck (Scarecrows, Slivers, and Dragons) at the same time while also attempting to convert your opponents’ creatures (Gain control Amoeboid Changeling+Sliver Overlord, then swinging out with your Necromorph army with a whole lot of keyword abilities. There’s a combo with Morophon the Boundless and Jodah, allowing you to cast your creature spells for free. With Nyxbloom Ancient, it can be very easy to play out your whole hand and keep cascading with The First Sliver. If you get Nyxbloom and Pili-Pala out with Manaweft or Gemhide Sliver, that can provide infinite mana, assuming you have one of the ‘Markers’ in place allowing your creatures to all be Slivers. With Arcane Adaptation, Conspiracy, and Mirrormade, you can get all three creature types needed to do crazy stuff. Though there’s technically only one dragon (The Ur-Dragon) and one card that cares about them (Sylvia Brightspear), I still kept them in the end because I wanted to get the cheapest ways to get key abilities like double strike onto my creatures, which, the only other card that could do that similarly was Bonescythe Sliver, but it costs one more than Sylvia. The Ur-Dragon can be ridiculous card advantage and a great wincon, and with the ability to cast him for 0 mana, I thought it would be fun
