The End Times cometh, and The Locust God hands out their boons like candy. Except with legs and wings and buzzing and chewing. That's right, Locusts!

Card Draw

When our commander says "Whenever you draw a card" you'd better believe we're gonna draw a HEAP of cards! We can use spells (Blue Sun's Zenith, Treasure Cruise, Theft of Dreams), Planeswalkers (Jace Beleren, The Royal Scions), creatures (Nin, the Pain Artist, Arcanis the Omnipotent) and enchantments (Fevered Visions, Monastery Siege).

And while we've got The Locust God rewarding us for drawing cards, we want more! Chasm Skulker and Psychosis Crawler put in good work with every draw. In case things go too crazy, we've got Laboratory Maniac and Jace, Wielder of Mysteries to keep us safe.

Wheels

But why limit ourselves to drawing a measly 3 or 4 cards a turn? With friends like Jace's Archivist and Arjun, the Shifting Flame we'll be wheelin' all the time! Windfall, Commit / Memory and Midnight Clock also pitch in for the card drawin' action. And when you're discarding so many cards, it's great to make use of that. So Glint-Horn Buccaneer throws around a lot of hurt, while Drake Haven stands ready to provide reinforcements.

Locusts!

And then, the reason we're all here, the Locusts! Attacking with 1/1 Locusts sounds fun, but doesn't 10/9 sound better? Well, with Glass of the Guildpact and Heraldic Banner we get to 3/2. Throw in Favorable Winds and Mindwrack Liege and we're up to 6/5! For that last bit of juice, we could copy our Liege with Dack's Duplicate and maybe even Spark Double to get us the full size. Or we could Spark Double our The Locust God and produce twice as many Locusts! That sure seems like a good plan when Purphoros, God of the Forge is there to make the most of each and every bug.
