The idea with this deck is to remove your opponents' threats before they get a chance to play them while thinning their library into exile. There are several sub-themes, including using their cards against them, exiling lands, and making your opponent shuffle.

The two major themes are milling your opponents and exiling cards directly from their library. Milling is a strong kill condition and the exile theme makes it hard for opponents to recover with means like Elixir of Immortality.

Cards like Acquire, Bribery, Praetor's Grasp, Villainous Wealth, Ashiok, Nightmare Weave, Sphinx Ambassador , and Thada Adel, Acquisitor let you take potential threats as your own.

Removing land from your opponents' library makes mill cards like Mirko Vosk, Mind Drinker, Destroy the Evidence , Mind Funeral, and Mind Grind more effective, and if you can get them into exile, Oblivion Sower gives a huge burst of ramp.

Borderland Explorer , Veteran Explorer, Collective Voyage, New Frontiers, and Tempt with Discovery give your opponents an opportunity to ramp, thinning their deck or setting them behind if they refuse. Sire of Stagnation also punishes them for accepting.

When you make your opponent shuffle, Psychic Surgery , Psychogenic Probe, and Cosi's Trickster can trigger.
