Void Stalker

Creature — Elemental

2{U}, {T}: Put Void Stalker and target creature on top of their owner's libraries, then those players shuffle their libraries.

I love that you're running Vortex Elemental. It's one of my favorite cards. A similar creature could be good to: Void Stalker (and still on theme as an elemental.)

Renewed version of this deck is finally here!

I dropped and added . This enables Unmoored Ego , Vapor Snag , Void Stalker and Serum Visions . Although the original idea for this deck is cool it didn't thrive in playtesting. I'm hoping this new version will do better.

Hello RARoberts, this is London Calling.

First up I'd try to leverage 5 colour a bit more, in budget I'd probably play Maelstrom Archangel and Chromanticore.

Creatures look good - I'd get rid of Silverglade Elemental, Void Stalker, Torrent Elemental and maybe Thicket Elemental though I'm unsure on that, they look a bit weak.

I think some artifact 5 colour filters would be handy - perhaps a copy of Darksteel Ingot and a Prophetic Prism. Ramping with Kodama's Reach and Cultivate, Explosive Vegetation.

Ditch Spoils of Victory and Sever the Bloodline, perhaps replace with good old fashioned spot removal. Deprive is probably a) not right with double , and I'm not sure I'd have a single counterspell - Swords to plowshares might be a bit techy, perhaps just a Doom Blade is okay?

Unclaimed Territory should go in says Joe.

Basically (last thing) if you are playing for Threshold you want a lot more self-mill. It'll take ages to get 7 cards in GY with an average CMC of 3.?, so either can the threshold idea (I don't think you need it!) or build around it specifically.

Thanks for the suggestions demonicgrizzly, just have been a little busy with other things.

Prismatic Omen, is a sweet card but I think im going to have to pass on it, because $40 Canadian ($32 US) is rather a lot considering I got a bunch of other decks that im working on right now too, I might consider it later. I also happen to have a 5 color Sliver Overlord edh deck and so I will definitely have a use for one of these though at some point. In terms of color fixing for my decks, right now really I have been prioritizing acquiring all of the fetches/shocks for multiple decks above pretty much everything.

Anyways I probably will see about finding a spot for Maze of Ith, I just wish I could find out already the direction I want this deck to go. Whether it be strictly super friends, strictly +1/+1 synergies, or stay in its current form that is a bit of both.

Void Stalker is a neat card, but I think im more inclined to go with Spike Weaver if I was to include something like this in here first. Although I will keep this one in mind too if I happen to change my mind and want more such effects.

Again, thanks for taking a look at this deck and offering some suggestions!

Sorry for the double comment, but Void Stalker is also a blast to help save you from combat, as is Maze of Ith

Void Stalker does something similar I think

Deathstroke2791, just had a crazy game last night. I did get to play Time Stop which saved me from dieing for that moment. I was trying to win with an unprotected Laboratory Maniac, as my library was getting very low. We all had triple mana from two Zhur-Taa Ancient. I had 20 cards in my hand, and a Forbid which I was able to cast over and over, but my opponent was hell bent on killing my Laboratory Maniac so he could mill me. I protected it as long as I could, but the Tasigur, the Golden Fang player kept using his ability, and giving the other player the option to pick, and he just fed him Hinder and Beast Within over and over. I'm thinking I need to add an Elixir of Immortality or something similar, and I might try to grab one of those Scavenger Grounds to deal with graveyards. The whole game was stacked against me though. Right from the beginning there was a Linvala, Keeper of Silence out, and then a Perplexing Chimera which was keeping me from reliably doing anything (the owner of the chimera also had a Homeward Path out. I had a Void Stalker out but couldn't shuffle up the chimera cause of linvala. It was a rough game, but Kami still put up a good fight. How is your deck going for you?

Remember to check gatherer rulings in case they answer the question:

7/1/2012 If Void Stalker leaves the battlefield before its ability resolves, the target creature will be shuffled into its owners library but Void Stalker will remain wherever it is.

You'll keep your Void Stalker.
