This deck is build around, obviously, Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign . I have a lot of different strategies in this deck. However, first let me display the frame of mind I had going into this deck. Feedback is appreciated

Before making the deck...

Despite wanting to make this a high power deck, I didn't want anyone in my playgroup to hate playing against this deck. So I steered away from cards that steal permanents or cast cards from their hands or decks, I wanted everyone to be able to play their own deck while I did too. Cough Don't mind the stray Herald of Leshrac Cough The only reason I included it was because of the escape clause on it, allowing players to get their lands back if it died.

Another thing was I didn't want to play counter-spells or any type of hard control, it's not my personal playstyle.

Next, I took a page out of the Commanders Quarters book, so this is a budget deck. I aimed to make this deck less than $50 w/o shipping. As of 5/8/20 it's $47.00 w/o shipping and with heavily played and damaged cards on TCGPlayer.

The strats...

The general strategy of the deck is to play Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign as fast as possible and manipulate the top of the deck to cast big mana cards. Probably the strat of other Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign decks. IDK I did like no research going into this.

Little bit of ramp. Self explanatory, signets, cluestones, obelisks.

Commander protection. Robe of Mirrors , Swiftfoot Boots , Whispersilk Cloak . That sort of thing.

Lots of top deck manipulation. Most of them are instants & sorceries like Ponder and Brainstorm , though there are a few permanents that give constant advantage such as Soothsaying and Penance .

Next, lots of big spells such as Brilliant Ultimatum (which just seems fun) and Pathrazer of Ulamog . Mostly the point of this is obvious, however a few sly synergies is Grozoth and Penance that I really like. Tutor for board wipes and reanimators then use Penance to put them on top of the library. Something about that just feels so right.

Copy things. Lots of copy effects. Most copy from my own board, so getting powerful cards out and copying them is a viable strategy to pursue. However, some cards do let me copy my opponents creatures, causing maximum chaos.

Win conditions. Obligatory Approach of the Second Sun , but some odd things about it. Casting it with Yennett the first time is fine, but the second time has to be from hand in order to trigger the win con effect. There is a few eldrazi in here to help close out games that call for combat.

That's it for now. I feel as though I did the best of my deck brewing capabilities to make this deck, it looks high-power but also fun to pilot.
