Creature — Bird Wizard

Flying

When Aven Fateshaper enters the battlefield, look at the top four cards of your library, then put them back in any order.

I really like Paradise Mantle , I'll definitely add that. Cloudchaser Eagle actually used to be in the deck, as did Augury Owl ! I'll definitely have to revisit them for some more utility in here. I did consider Aven Fateshaper too, but he's just too expensive to be reliable - his activated ability cost is actually 4U not 1U.

The big thing I'm noticing in playtesting is that Kangee works really well with all this proliferate. Even getting him out with only one feather counter has been perfectly viable, as it never stays just one. But with him as the sole linchpin, it's not hard for an opponent to just kill him off and leave me entirely open. Even upon his second cast he costs 9 mana to get out with a single feather counter. I need to maybe go a little overboard with my mana solutions here, and almost definitely add at least Whispersilk Cloak and Swiftfoot Boots to offer him some protection.

Oh man, I just saw the art for Aven Brigadier . Such a winner! And Commander Eesha is incredible! Crookclaw Elder and Gustcloak Savior are sweet value too. Bird Tribal has some fun value.

In terms of mana, some other ideas are Dreamscape Artist .... he alllllmost counts as a bird? Technically he does, he's a shapeshifter, but maybe not a flavour win, haha. Probably not good enough. Also, I'd say Paradise Mantle which has a flavour win as it's off the Birds of Paradise idea and, even if only in imagery, gives "wings" (see picture) ;). I was going to recommend Dream Thrush over a signet if you had one, for fixing mana on theme, but you don't have one.

I really like Opt , Brainstorm , and Ponder in my blue decks cause they help me make sure I hit my landrops, or later on get me the cards I need (or skip the cards I don't need). In this awesome bird theme your building up, I think Augury Owl is a great way to fill that niche. Brilliant, in my own mind :). Aven Fateshaper does that too, but he's a little more pricey... except, when he comes out he can keep doing it for ! Awesome.

If you ever find that infinite combo, Apex Hawks might be good in here!

Cloudchaser Eagle is almost like bird tribals very own Acidic Slime ... note quite, but almost. I see you got Kestrel in there, his cheaper counter part (though I guess classified "equal" as kestrel requires two vs. the extra for eagle.

If your playgroup combos off, goes Voltron, or has some crazy creatures that end games, Aven Augur seems like cool utility. If you playgroup is just "good times" though, I do think you should put in Carnivorous Death-Parrot for fun or Cardpecker ;). My playgroup allows 1 unhinged type card, unless it's absolutely broken.

It's too bad Aven Warhawk is so pricey, or else his effect would be great!

This would be fun to play, I can tell. Nice work! So cool to see a tribe with such a tool box.

ShishkyBob on Yennet & odd top-of-deck cards

I've built a Yennett deck. In addition to the suggestions above, some interesting cards I've found to help out are Haunted Crossroads, Aven Fateshaper, and my new favorite Penance. All of them are odd cmc, and all let you repeatedly manipulate the top of your library.

If you're willing to sacrifice your early game top-deck setup cards, there's some more expensive versions to up the curve like Aven Fateshaper and Inkfathom Divers

Right off the bat it looks really good. All of the standard categories are covered. There are a few cards though that don't pull enough weight. I'm not sure Arctic Aven, Dawnfeather Eagle, Aven Fateshaper, Serra Aviary, Brave the Sands, and Always Watching do enough to keep around. Derevi gives all your creatures a psuedo- vigilance already. I would replace these with Judge's Familiar, Windbrisk Raptor, Mindshrieker, Aerie Mystics, and Kangee, Aerie Keeper. There are also good arguments to include Mirror Entity or Beastmaster Ascension for an easy win-con, Rout or Phyrexian Rebirth to wipe the board, and Basalt Monolith or Gilded Lotus to abuse Derevi Untap triggers. Rounding out the mana base with a Seaside Haven and the bounce lands will keep your hand full. Later upgrades I would consider adding would be Kruphix, God of Horizons and Reliquary Tower to max hand size and allow you to keep all of the extra mana Derevi enables.

I'd suggest Aven Fateshaper, Interpret the Signs or Cream of the Crop to pick through your deck for the combo pieces. If you can get it right you can cast Enter the Infinite and cast Psychosis Crawler off it for free, which would be fun.

You have the right idea with the start, but a few important changes I'd suggest.

Take out the Legendary Eldrazi, they don't work with the commander's ability.

Eldrazi aren't the only option for big creatures. Mono blue has a lot of scary massive blue creatures like Stormtide Leviathan, Inkwell Leviathan, Kederekt Leviathan, Lorthos, the Tidemaker.

Mono Blue needs mana rocks. Sol Ring of course, but also half a dozen others. You want 5-8 in the deck.

Creatures with enter the Battlefield abilities get extra value in a deck like this: Archaeomancer, Academy Researchers, ther Adept, thersnipe, Alhammarret, High Arbiter, Aspiring Aeronaut, Aven Fateshaper, Benthicore, Breaching Hippocamp

Blue also has a great number of untap mechanics that can give you some extra uses out of your commander: Aura of Dominion, Crab Umbra, Freed from the Real, Intruder Alarm, Pemmin's Aura, Second Wind

Lastly, these I recommend for Flavor and Awesome:Mass Polymorph, Polymorphous Rush, Polymorphist's Jest, Rite of Replication, Magus of the Future

P.S. Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx

I like this commander a lot. I'm going to suggest Skyblinder Staff to make your birds practically unblockable (only blocked by creatures w/reach). Awesome with Thrummingbird, with all those feather counters hanging around. You probably need some more protection or recursion. If you're going for a weenies strategy, you might want to drop your curve for your creatures and use Return to the Ranks to recur a lot of your graveyard. You might also want to add some extra card draw, for example with Dictate of Kruphix or Rhystic Study.

Optional adds: Coast Watcher, Cloudfin Raptor, Duskrider Falcon, Freewind Falcon, Mindshrieker, Palace Familiar, Stormscape Familiar

Cards you may want to replace: Rise of Eagles, Sage Aven, Aven Fateshaper, Aven Surveyor, Mist Raven, Murder of Crows, Raven Familiar, Fact or Fiction, Impaler Shrike

Good luck!
