How the Deck Works

Primarily, by using Vhati il-Dal's ability, set target creature's toughness to 1, and use the many utility pieces to put a -1/-1 counter on it, killing it (indestructible creatures included!)

Alternatively, you can use his ability to render an opponent's creature to 1 power, greatly diminishing the pain felt by incoming baddies like Blightsteel Colossus

Wincons

As much as it's fun to hose opponent's tokens production and kill creatures indiscriminately, the deck needs a method of winning.

Devoted Druid and Quillspike - infinitely big Quillspike

Devoted Druid and Quillspike in bin, Necrotic Ooze on board - infinitely big Quillspike

Tree of Perdition and Vhati il-Dal + Sunscorched Desert, Pestilence, Pestilence Demon any method of dealing one to opponent, kills one player.

Tree of Perdition, Vhati il-Dal, Seedborn Muse + 1 life pinger - kill a player every turn

Other Combos:

Grim Poppet and Devoted Druid in the bin, Necrotic Ooze on the board - Board wipe/Infinite mana

Thornbite Staff on Vhati il-Dal and Night of Souls' Betrayal - Board Wipe

Other Thoughts:

Just for flavor, I included the Diabolic Edict with Vhati il-Dal getting pitched overboard by Greven il-Vec (Commander Greven il-Vec) - at some pt I'll probably replace it for something better, like Abrupt Decay, but for now it's just a fun include.
