The famous conqueror of armies and nations, Alexander the Great would give his newly defeated foes to join him in his conquest. Now in death, Alexander goes by a different name - Thraximundar; and in death, his soldiers follow him into new realms and planes to acquire and add to his army.

Allied planeswalkers often discuss how Thraximundar is able to cross through into other planes - "He does not have a spark and he does not have a planar bridge, so how is it possible that not only he is able to cross, but his armies as well," is the question that is repeated at every summit. While the question is an understandable one, the elder planeswalkers correct the line of inquiry - "The time that we have been given to think of 'how' has passed. We can only assume that Thraximundar's willpower to lead his crusade is enough. Now it is time to ponder on 'what' to do when he comes knocki-." A bloody smear is covering the rest of the page, the pages afterwards are blank. Garth One-Eye closes the tome and puts it back on the bookshelf, and ponders whether he should stand and fight, or run, but he ends the thought early, just in case it is too late, and retreats to his inner sanctum to work on thorough measures to conceal his realm from unwanted crusaders.
