I love playing the classic tribes. I had a green elf deck that was started from the mono-green precon that was strong and powerful. It has evolved much over the years but it has now made its biggest change yet. I was always curious about the black drow counterparts. With all the new ones they made and the new Lathril deck, I thought it was time to take the elves to the Underdark.

It's you're classic elf deck in every way. Still very heavy in green. What the black drow brings is a nice element of mass health drain and death. The goal is quite simple. Elf ball till we win. But if that doesn't work there are many elf synergies and combos present in the deck to drain out the other players. This deck can make tons of mana and easily close out the game through a sink, like Hurricane . It can also go for the win with Triumph of the Hordes . The deck does a little bit of everything. It could be tuned better, but I do like having options and variety in my games.

Umbral Mantle is actually a very deathly combo piece. Umbral + elf that taps for greater than 3 mana is infinite mana and a very big elf. This limitless mana would mean you could shift the Mantle to all the other elves and make them very big. Or if you have 10 elves plus Lathril, Blade of the Elves , you could use the mana to untap all the elves over and over to combo out with Lathril's drain.
