Sevinne's Goodstuff Funtime Band

Commander / EDH RUW (Jeskai, America)

gamlingcs

Recently came across a good deal for the Sevinne commander deck and mainly wanted it for Sevinne and Dockside Extortionist. Kind of running out of commanders that really drive my interest in unique or peculiar playstyles. I had given up on graveyard abuse since my first foray into Cedh with Tasigur and my more consistent playgroup that is exceedingly casual. However I look at Sevinne as a value engine as opposed to something that induces combos etc. There is no win-con beyond shenanigans. I don't expect a high win-rate with it, but I anticipate a fair bit of hatred.

So after a few play throughs, I've noticed that the deck works well enough. Engines are cheap and efficient to cycle through the deck and find the cards to either chuck in the bin and reap value, or to pop right off. However my current only win-con is an arduous battle via combat dmg which is not a pretty sight, or a very flimsy Ral, Storm Conduit (static ability) (-2 ability) + Increasing Vengeance (w/o -2 ability, has to be popped from yard, or copied another way) + any other spell to initially target. Which is fine but I'm not wild about using a combo to win the day with this deck, probably rooted in my natural aversion to using combos to win games.

I am also entirely open to quicker aggro decks that can overcome the one propaganda. Adding Ghostly prison would help with redundancy, but I'm having a tough time finding something to drop to add it in. Same with Rhystic, narset etc

Soulfire Grand Master - I have wanted to like this card for so long. 4 mana to add buyback to your spells seems like such a great and abusable mechanic, but without the incredible mana ramp to use it, seems like such a waste of a card so easily removed.

Izzet Chemister - Another cool card in concept, but so easily removed and slow to build. Unlike Past in Flames, Mizzix Mastery, Yawgmoth's Will, etc it just doesn't hold a candle. Would really like to find a way to make it more functional but dedicating too many resources to it would draw away from the mechanics of the deck itself I feel.
