Maybeboard

Anhelo, the Painter! The goal of this deck is to ramp and control my way to a boardstate where I can cast huge, powerful spells, hopefully getting their effects at least twice with Anhelo, maybe more with the card recursion I have (With Volcanic Vision doubling as payoff). There's some resiliancy, because the pieces here all work together even if, say, anhelo gets hated out, or I can't find a really strong topend; I still have a solid control suite and probably some token makers to start getting board control. The one "whiff" here is that I might end up with too much topend early in the game. I'm not quite sure how I'll handle that.

Filling the deck with Black's little 2-power returnable creatures is a cute idea, but they don't really serve the deck without Anhelo. I've narrowed it all down to three; Bloodghast recurs essentially for free, and Sinister Concierge is just incredibly difficult to interact with if you can reliably sac her. Dogged Detective is the weak link here; having to recast him instead of getting him for free isn't great, and I'm mostly testing if the surveil is worth it. Early game card selection is nothing to sneeze at though, I'm running some of blue's cantrips partially for that purpose (and partially to use them as Village Rites)

Some changes I'm looking at; Double Vision vs Jin-Gitaxias, Progress Tyrant; Jin obviously does more, but as a creature rather than an enchantment, and one who does more, he's something of a removal magnet. Torment of Hailfire vs Cut / Ribbons; Torment is almost certainly better, however, it creates an uncomfortable situation where if you don't win with it, your opponents are still left in a much diminished state; I don't want to force people to choose between forfeiting and a slog of a game where they hope they can draw a wrath or something to even the score. Cut has the advantage of being both removal AND topend, too.
