Hi all, I'm a long-time EDH player, but decided to start sharing my decks online. I'm more of a Johnny player: always trying to make new and creative brews, so most of my decks are probably about 70% on the power scale. I don't go out of my way to buy singles, so my decks are predominantly made from my collection. I'm not a massive fan of tutors to find win-cons, but usually add 1-2 to each deck for consistency or to get me out of trouble.

How the Deck was Built / How the Deck Should Run

Ever since Return to Ravnica came out, I've wanted to really exploit the Populate mechanic to create huge creatures for cheap. The struggle has always been being able to make those big creatures into tokens to make Populate possible.

Again I built the deck first and realised that there were little to no black cards, so I chose Kynaios and Tiro as the only non-black commander (also helps with mana-ramp and card-draw).

I literally just pooled together all the cards that are in my collection that produce big tokens (generally 4/4 creatures and above). I also wanted to spread outside of green/white since all the other token decks out there are already like that, and there are some incredible cards out there that help the token strategy (eg, blue).

I've played it a few times now, and Faerie Artisans works amazingly well! I've also been able to build a 6/12 golem army from populating Stone Idol Trap.
