Creature (1)

After researching a lot of options, I concluded that Mardu was the best option to come up with a deck, wanted to make it a whole lot more different and non conventional, but at the end of the day, The Batman follows one rule, he doesn't kill, that narrows it down to very few options, then I remembered, Batman isn't only the one we've seen on the saturday morning cartoons and on the movies, we have a lot of elseworlds material, enter Batman & Dracula: Red Rain, Bloodstorm and Crimsom Mist. A magnificent storyline starting with Batman battling Dracula and the ramifications of this battle on the sequel comics, turning our beloved Dark Knight into a bloodthirsty vampire. Wasn't easy, but the idea was pitched, now to give it a twist, what if... all of Gotham and the Batfamily and their villains rogues and not rogues turned also to vampires, and then I only had to choose a Commander, the natural option was Edgar Markov, who else?, it seems so appropriate and that sick armor, reminds me so much of the Suit of Sorrows, and the rest, well, it's here on this list. I've seen ideas trying to make this from a single set, but since we are tapping into the multiverse for a different approach, any setting seems to be fair game, at least to me. I've been trying to assemble this deck for a while now but decided to build another one instead, but when I saw the contest info I decided to give a try again, at least with the affordable cards to start with.

For the creatures I tried to find a good comparison based on Batman lore and these were the ones selected that I found somewhat accurate.

Edgar Markov - Batman (Bruce Wayne)

Cordial Vampire - Alfred Pennyworth, Vampire Nighthawk - Nightwing (Dick Grayson), Blood Baron of Vizkopa - Red Hood (Jason Todd), Adanto Vanguard - Robin (Tim Drake), Rakish Heir - Robin (Damian Wayne), Olivia Voldaren - Batgirl (Barbara Gordon), Stromkirk Captain - James Gordon, Malakir Bloodwitch - Huntress (Helena Bertineli), Voldaren Pariah - Batwoman (Kate Kane), Mathas, Fiend Seeker - Azrael (Jean Paul Valley), Crimson Honor Guard - The Outsiders, Licia, Sanguine Tribune - Catwoman (Selina Kyle), Blood Artist - The Joker, Bloodhusk Ritualist - Poison Ivy (Pamela Isley), Captivating Vampire - The Riddler (Edward Nigma), Dark Impostor - Hush (Tommy Elliot), Drana's Emissary - Harley Quinn, Drana, Liberator of Malakir - Talia Al Ghul, Kheru Mind-Eater - Scarecrow (Jonathan Crane), Mavren Fein, Dusk Apostle - Hugo Strange, Anowon, the Ruin Sage - Jason Blood/Etrigan the Demon, Bloodline Necromancer - Felix Faust, Bloodlord of Vaasgoth - Ra's Al Ghul, Drana, Kalastria Bloodchief - Talia Al Ghul, Vona, Butcher of Magan - Deathstroke (Slade Wilson), Patron of the Vein - Victor Zsasz, Skeletal Vampire - Black Mask (Roman Sionis), Butcher of Malakir - Professor Pyg, Stromkirk Patrol - Gotham PD Officers, Stromkirk Noble - Gotham Citizen, Stromkirk Condemned - Blackgate Inmate, Falkenrath Noble - Gotham Citizen

For spells since it's a deck that I want to use on casual play I didn't focus on anything lore based

Some artifacts can be associated to some characters as

Blade of the Bloodchief - Ra's Al Ghul's Sword, Skullclamp - Although he was not considered this could be part of Bane's mask, he was not turned to vampire and was killed before even trying. Sword of Feast and Famine and Sword of Fire and Ice - Azrael's Swords, Door of Destinies - Batcave Entrance, Hedron Archive - Batcomputer, Well of Lost Dreams - Lazarus Pit,

Also with some of the lands, once more I want to make the deck fully playable so I tried to associate some lands with the lore and the other ones are for functionality

Dragon Skull Summit - Nanda Parbat, Blood Crypt - The lower ends of the cliffs in the Batcave after Batman's transformation to a Vampire, Caves of Koilos - Batcave, Command Tower - Gotham P.D., Exotic Orchard - Poison Ivy's Lair, Isolated Chapel - Secret base for The Order of St. Dumas (Azrael), Luxury Suite - The main room on Wayne Manor, Godless Shrine - A secret lair for the Order of St. Dumas within Gotham, Slayers' Stronghold - League of Assassins base, Sunbaked Canyon - The Dessert surrounding the League of Assassins base, Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth - Graveyard behind Wayne Manor

Hope you like this build, tried to make it as lorewise related as possible without leaving out the playable part.
