barrin is notoriously hard to build, due to the fact that hes so old and simple, yet potentially powerful. no one knows how to properly abuse his abilities for the win, but we can try!

barrin doesnt do much on his own so he needs permanents to sacrifice and ideally creatures with great etb effects. he also needs sources of raw card advantage like Consecrated Sphinx even if they dont fit his theme neatly.

single-card synergies like Gilded Drake, Master of Waves, Vedalken Shackles, Faerie Artisans are what makes the deck powerful. Hullbreaker Horror is here without a polymorph shell, hes just that strong nowadays and just goes off. what i really wanted to do with this deck though was create a perfect Displacer Kitten shell, but it seems monoblue doesnt fit the cat properly.

this deck manages to control the board but doesnt quite have the game-ending combo lines, so tips are welcome.
